That is why I respect everyone getting their own platforms because with your own following you have latitude and don’t have to deal with the whims of corporate media. Let the people access you directly and build from there. I personally devour sports takes from anywhere I can get them that is entertaining and reasonable, hence why I am here.

Yep. I do NOT watch any major network sports shows. The last one I watched were the boys on TNT. The only time I will ever see corporate media coverage is watching live games. It is unavoidable.
And alot of these guys get their content from mainstream media sports ahows by commenting on what they report or comment about. Not too many have original content they themselves develop.

I’m not sure if Jason Kelce will be that good on TV. I’ve seen him in interviews before and he’s not that impressive. Doesn’t ESPN already have Jeff Saturday? I could be wrong about Jason but RG3 was a good commentator and seemed like he was a rising star in sports media ⭐️

I was recently listening to Alford Williams on Denver Sports Radio and he was talking to one of his mentors that ESPN was interested in bringing him on the network once he retired from football. Since mentor told him to really think about it. His mentor told him when a big name retires and the networks are interested with bringing them into fold…it means some talent has to be let go. Big Al said that was the best advice he got. Since RG3 brought the Baylor program back to life, he should have a job for with the Baylor Bears.
Sometimes being great is a problem. When mediocre pulls the same numbers, but costs a fraction of the price, great gets tossed. As talented as RG3 and others that have been fired were, their talent didn’t move the needle in terms of ratings and ad dollars. Wish that wasn’t the case.
If they get paid for not working and have the opportunity to go somewhere else then that’s a good thing.
