I am a Catholic from the Latin Rite and I absolutely love Eastern Catholic Rite hymns especially Armenian hymns. Too bad we don't have a Catholic church with Eastern Catholic rite here.

I know this is a strange place to ask this, but I can't help but notice the similarities in the monastery architectures and the Khouyr/Saghavard/religious leaders. It evokes a sense of the church being a set of religious leaders watching over you. Does anyone know if this was intentional, or coincidence?

The Saghavard is the Helmet of Salvation mentioned in the Scriptures. The Bishop’s khouyr is just a symbol to show his rank of office in the Church. As for the traditional Veghar that celibate priests wear, it symbolizes a veil, as they gave a vow to marry Christ and His Church(celibacey), and the point on top also symbolizes a Steeple of a Church. Since the priest has vowed to become a walking vessel of Christ and the Church through worship and service.
