- Hi everyone, I am Sneha Negi AIR 80 GATE CS 2021 .
In this video I am sharing some of my mistakes that I did in my first attempt of GATE CS.
Learn from the mistakes of others, you can't afford to make them all on your own. - Chanakya
GATE is a very competitive exam.👊Though it can be cracked with proper strategy and consistency, there can be several mistakes which can prevent you from fulfilling your desires.
What can be better than knowing mistakes overhand?
So here is my next video, in which I have collected all the mistakes that I did in my first attempt. Hope it will be helpful to you, and do share it with your ambitious friends.
1. I had a lot of time.
2. Cover all topics in great depth. Do as many PYQ
3. Reading the solution and actually solving it is different
4. Didn't plan my GATE
5. ACE test series is not good. Compare other test series also
6. Not Enough time in GATE test analysis
7. Living in my own bubble. Never think you are doing enough.

I am 2020 EC Passout...Got placement offer from Infosys in Feb 2020 so didn't thought of GATE...from Feb 2020-Dec 2020 I haven't studied anything just wasted compete lockdown...My Infosys joining was on Dec 27,2020...on Dec 16,2020 I decided not to go for INFOSYS...I want better opportunities so I decided for GATE...I didn't attempt GATE 20,21...Joined CES Learning for 1 year...and GATE 22 is waiting for me...I know I wasted 1year after passout which it still hurts

I don't know if you can find tuition from someone who has already cleared GATE then it can be great..otherwise coaching is good...I mean you don't actually need that person in front of you..you just need good resources..and I think you can self study

How much affect will gap year of 2 ,3 years will cause in iit placement/admission
Not at all.. GAP year is not counted..
so, from where will one practice the questions, means the test series are good but one won't get that much of questions in the test series. So just want a reply from your side that along with PYQ , which other resources are there to practice...?
PYQs and test series should be enough… because in gate cs most of the qsns are repetitive

See.. in made easy in one test i got above 80..other wise on an average 65 to 70... In applied gate maximum i got was 70 minimum 55... In zeal test series i got around 55 or less than this ...

@@nagendra3610 zeal qsns are a bit on tougher side ...some time have qsns more difficult than what are asked in GATE.. but id recommend giving its free mock test..they have 3 to 4 free mock test.. they prepare you for the worst ..which is good

how many times revision is necessary for a subject?... is 3 times rigorous revision sufficient for each subject?
hey hi, there is no perfect limit for revision. its definitely different for everybody.. I havent even count how many time i am revising any subject. I might have revised any subject more than other. i would suggest keep revising things as often as possible based on your performance in test series

Hi jyotimay . I am also from tier3 college many gate aspirants are.. and yes they can also get the 2 digit rank.. i have also made a video about how you can start preparing for gate.. and in the process you'll be able to make your own best strategy for you

Like highest package, average package, median package etc.
IISc doesn't focus on placement. They focus on research. U don't worry for placement if ur in iisc . Ur in iisc then focus on research.

May be u can upload a new vedio related to this 😁😁😁😁
I will try make a video on it...but for the time being..i had rbrs lectures passed on from a senior so i did all the note making from there... Watching all the lectures will give you fair and nice idea of what topics any subject is consists of.. after that.. or in between completing subjects you can always do subject wise PYQs to get the flavour of qsns... Dont worry if you have completed the but can't solve some answers..it will happen because lecture videos dont cover solving all kind of qsns... So you'll have to learn tricks to solve qsns..at these time offline coachings comes in handy because they teach you how to solve important prev year qsns.. but i followed gate overflow website for all my doubts .. and after a point you will feel comfortable making your own strategy...

See if you want to save your time and effort then definitely... Because i had to take a drop with my self studying.. i think if I'd have taken some course I might jave gotten a good score in my first attempt itself..so.. i mean if you have time like you are in your first , second year of btech..then definitely self study is good... But if you have less time like one year or so... Taking subscription is best option..many toppers do it... So that you dont have to struggle keeping up with the subjects
I am from EE branch ,am i eligible for admission in CSE stream if my gate paper in CSE??
2nd- does Clg cgpa required in gate exam or at the time of admission
No cgpa not required in most iits.. there are only few who consider CGPA other than GATE score.. and yes you van give GATE from any subject
If I'm not wrong, you need atleast 60% or 6.0 CGPA in your B.Tech for admissions in PG programs !
