    Nothing better than putting your feet on the sand and casting a line in the water!

    The summer is what it is. High temps mean the fish need to eat a lot, but food is at an all time high for them. Peak feeding times become compressed into very small periods of time. Cool video….I enjoyed it!

      You got that right! I am going to try fishing evening and see if that is a better time. Glad you enjoyed it and good luck out there Rob!

    Thanks for your transparency. Yes it’s been rough. Today got skunked but I had a big shark hooked on that I chased about a quarter of a mile down the beach before the handle of my reel actually broke off 😳 not much I could do after that. It popped off not long after. I do a lot of praying on my charters and so far we have caught fish every time. Whew! I have my biggest charter tomorrow with 12 people so I have trained my husband to help me out because Kat is in NY😂 anyway. I agree; it’s hard, but I liked the video-especially when you guys ate the Bonita 😂😂😂 keep it coming!

      Sorry to hear about your reel breaking. Hope you have a great trip with those 12 people! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed watching us eat that bobo but I'd have to say I do NOT recommend it haha. Thanks again Cathy!

    You know you are on the “Struggle Bus” when you try to eat raw bobo on the beach 😂. The video was spot on. Keep real my friend. 😎

    It’s been brutal finding fleas. Some beaches have them and others I can’t find one to save my life!

    • @JustinReedFishing
      @JustinReedFishing  11 місяців тому

      It is weird how it went from endless fleas no matter where I fished during the spring and now they are sporadic. I am going to have to look for a new stretch of beach that has fleas.

    I’ve caught tons of whiting last couple weeks. Caught a 45” bull red at Opal beach and it was at 2 pm in the afternoon. Seems like early morning the best and early morning blowups of fish more prominent from Pensacola beach at county park west down into point of fort Pickens

      Nice work man! Thanks for the report. I'm going to start fishing set rigs again during the evenings and see what I can get on. I've been so fixated on throwing lures here recently. Those blow ups are a ton of fun! Good luck out there.

    That might be my favorite catch & cook yet! 😂 It's good to have a dose of reality in some videos that the bite is not always on fire. It might not be a moneymaker video, but I respect and appreciate the transparency.

      Haha was not my favorite catch and cook at all! That was horrible and I do NOT recommend it. That was my thoughts when putting this video together. This time of year is tough for everyone and I wanted to show people that they are not alone on the struggle bus. Tight lines Robert!

      I hope you get on some fish when you get out there Joseph! Light tackle and natural baits seem to work the best from the reports I have been hearing. Thanks again!

    Is it possible to catch the small fish (bait fish ) on small hooks and shrimp ?

    • @JustinReedFishing
      @JustinReedFishing  10 місяців тому +1

      Yes some of the bait can be caught with a small hook with shrimp. A sabiki would likely work very well too. A cast net is the most efficient way.

      @@JustinReedFishing thanks for your response we are coming down with some very light tackle and just looking to get bit doesn’t matter if it’s trash fish or not just looking for bites and if it’s something we can turn around and put on a set rig even better.

    Jeez man, that's some good fish. And it's sashimi, not sushi.

    • @JustinReedFishing

      You surely are thinking of a different species. That fish was a Little Tunny and it was completely inedible. I've been eating raw fish most my life and have never been bothered by any other fish.

    🤮can’t believe you guys ate that!! Flies will drive a man crazy!!!

    • @JustinReedFishing
      @JustinReedFishing  11 місяців тому

      In my defense it was Carl's idea haha. I rather take another bite of raw bobo then deal with those flies!
