Zhu Zhu Pets | Kung Zhu | Sergeant Serge (Newer Sound Quality Version)

This is Sergeant Serge aka, one of the most common Kung Zhu/Zhu Zhu Pets around but this one is a very special version of Sergeant Serge in this review. This Sergeant Serge is actually a newer sound quality variant where it has button sound delays (which are more noticeable for the head and back buttons on him), and also has his original battle noises switched differently than the older quality ones (which will be shown in the future in comparison) which I gotta say,
is actually quite surprising for this one when I discovered that for some of the common Kung Zhus, there’s two sound quality versions of them, and Sergeant Serge is one of the certain Kung Zhus that have it! This one came in a lot of Zhus I got way back in 2019 from Ebay (which included some that I either had, or never had before) and never needed any repairs, but I’d predict that the gears in the gearboxes may eventually get split but I’m still keeping an eye on this Kung Zhu just in case, but aside of that, he works perfectly and is pretty unique for how his original sounds look like in this newer sound quality version of him.
I also happen to have an old sound quality version of Sergeant Serge in my collection as well (which you see the review I did of him years ago) which I keep as my original one while I’ll still have this one as part of my current original Zhu Zhu Pets collection since it’s a different version for the sound quality, but same old Kung Zhu. Unfortunately my old sound quality version Sergeant Serge has seen better days because his board is basically already on the verge of frying and he won’t even stop glitching as he never did that before until years later (really hope I can give him a new board with the same pitch), but this newer sound quality one shown in this review is still doing totally fine with no issues thankfully.
Sergeant Serge is definitely my third favorite Special Forces Kung Zhu after Abrams (being second) and Rock’O (being first) as I love his unique, original sounds. Scoodles also has the same sounds as Sergeant Serge as well, but in different sound orders/functionality since Scoodles is a regular Zhu while Sergeant Serge is a Kung Zhu! I also really like how high pitched this one is as well. He’s definitely quite a tough, Special Forces Kung Zhu that’s always ready for duty, and knows when to battle in order to protect the Zhuniverse in any circumstances I’d say lol

Fun fact, Sergeant Serge has appeared in the Kung Zhu movie called “The Power of Zhu” where he teams up with other Kung Zhus which are Abrams, Yama, and KZ to defeat the villains from causing trouble in the Kung Zhu world.
