So glad you're keeping that car going. I think you have a passion for it! Thanks for all the videos as I have a 13 plate Alhambra and you are saving me some serious money.

      You're welcome 👍
I don't use it much recently, it's parked there sad, driven once a week to wake up for exercise. But as long as I have it - I might do few more videos.

One mechanic told me a trick how to remove those anti rolbar links. With ball joint end, tight it with impact gun as long as it just snap the bolt end off. Never try to loose it. I have tested that trick couple of times and it just works fine.

Interesting idea. Very brutal 😊 I suppose it depends how bad is that nut. Sometimes grinder is a solution.

@@wawayltdI was very sceptical first, but that xzn head is usually completely rusted away here in Fin (thanks for road salting), so I tried. Couple of second 1/2" impact gun "treatment" and it snapped away 😁

I'll keep that in mind, if I see nut like that. 👍

Great video mate! Do you have a video about changing the drive belt tensioner on the sharan?
    Thanks in advance

No, I don't. I don't have that Sharan anymore either. It's pretty simple, it's held by single bolt from the back, underneath the alternator.

So nice to see this car still going. Is it near to half a million miles yet?
Have you had to replace the dpf?

    • @wawayltd
      @wawayltd  Рік тому +1

I don't drive it much, as it doesn't have a taxi licence due to age restrictions, but it's still drivable, still on 422k miles, still original DPF.

I recently locked my only key in 2015 vw sharan i Don't know if you can give me any advice on opening the car

Wow. I don't know. Speak to some professional? Alternatively, break the door window and install a new one straight after.. There is no good idea from me, but I'm not professional either

Can ask you a question. Is there a splash pan cover protecting the fuel tank?

Don't remember by now, probably not. It's made of pretty tough material.

How did you identify the problem? Did it squeak or clunk when you drove?
On my car, it has started to squeak in the rear when I drive over bumps in the road. No clunking though.
I'm going to get under the car and check, but I'm not sure how to go about finding the problem.
Does anyone have any good tips?

In my case, I didn't know about it until it failed MOT.
