Is the new engine actually different though? (Aside from optimization and a different language ofc)
@@Tyler-ze4tg probably not, but with optimizations I would expect more use of particles and visual FX like the fog we saw a while ago

This is just the type of game I have been wanting to play, ever since the announcement I was excited but now that I am seeing more of what’s to come I can’t wait I just hope the game doesn’t get rushed and gets done properly like you said in a previous video
They've had 2 full years to redevelop the engine, I imagine they have incredible progress to show soon!
i played a little of miniblock a few years ago and stopped because of boriness. i played survival and was bored easily. i tried servers that were official and all but the community had made it worse with stupid servers so i was scared watching videos of hytale but man this looks so good .

I said it in one of the Hytale shorts, but I think they're taking a page out of No Man's Sky's dev book with the whole "No response. Keep working." approach. Maybe this could be the new PR code rather than trying to keep the hype up until release like all companies tend to do.
I agree. It's smart for them to kill the hype and work in silence, and bring it back when they're ready!

@@a.x.x8184 That is true, but wasn't there alot of messed up stuff happening at Blizzard during production of OW and OW2? Or was that strictly Activision/Blizzard? Sure, Hypixel started from minecraft, but that doesn't mean they're affiliated with Mojang and the nonsense they've been pulling. And look at Red Barrels, a team of developers that broke off from EA and went on to make Outlast. You have a very valid point, Hytale could very well be just minecraft all over again or worst case it's the next Duke Nukem Forever or Fallout 76, but I'm deciding to give Hypixel the benefit of the doubt. If it's great? Great. If not? Oh well I'll find something else.
@@34Witchdoctor hytale is also being produced by riot studios since they picked up the game so its being worked on by a whole team and such from a large developer and publishing company
With all the progress over time and all the footage they've shown, one could only imagine how advanced and amazing the game is now.
'one could only imagine' because they have shown no progress or footage. Because you would have to be gullible to fall for this and believe it will be a successful game when and IF it ever releases. LOL

the new engine is either going to be an insane upgrade graphically, or look identical. hopefully we get some better bloom though, the bloom implimentation in the old engine looked kinda bad imo
We already saw improvements in the old engine with lighting in the Riot x Arcane gameplay. The new engine will hopefully look better, but the idea is for it to run better and be cross compatable.
Things I hope the new engine does:
+ Better Lighting
+ Better SFX (Particularly snow and rainfall)
+ Smoother Animations
+ Better Terrain Generation
+ Better Script Optimization
Things I hope it doesn't do:
- Changes the look of the game
- Changes the feel of the game
- Was only done to allow mobile
It'll be awesome to see all of the progress the Hytale team has made since last years blog post in July!

Game looks very promising, it's what minecraft was supposed to be before microsoft drove it straight down to the earth's core. Never rush a good game, no mans sky did and it nearly killed their company
Good thing NMS did a huge comeback with nonstop updates and with the disappointing release of starfield NMS got even more players
to be completely fair the team behind no mans sky didnt want to release it they were forced to contractually and basically had their hand behind their back since their studio got flooded and they lost a lot of progress and their publisher wanted them to release it at the same time even though they lost all of that progress

@@MrHocotateFreight What you are seeing in this video is almost certainly still in the game - just improved. They've migrated to new engine. The graphics themselves are likely updated and improved as a lot of what is seen likely received a refresh.
Myne seems to be setting up for a before and after comparison.
@@MrHocotateFreightmigrating to a new engine doesn't mean remaking the game, this is surely still in game, it just runs differently and will probably be improved accordingly
@@MrHocotateFreight basically they are taking everything rom the old enging e and adding it into the new one. the old one was presumeably unoptimized and was stopping them from adding the things they wanted to into it and so they made this new engine so that they could have greater creative control adn add more things they want into the systems whether thats gameplay like dungeons or stuff like partical counts and even stuff like ray tracing
I'm shocked at the genuine care and consideration I'm seeing in these comments, its like a breath of fresh air. In truth, the game isn't as likely to have monetization issues as people are claiming, and its just bound to be more and more polished as time goes on. The devs truly do care and they're working hard to give us the game we deserve.
Glad to comments are good here been seeing so many people complaining it's legit like game comes out early people complain its buggy mess, they take time complain its never coming out lol.

@@Myqwes especially since they havent really been working on it for that long really especially for how small the team was until recently according to blog posts the problem is that they announced it before they started even working on it making it seem like the game has been in development for like 6 years instead of the 3-4 it has actually been a thing

Turning into a dragon on command! I’m all for sorcery but that seems a bit much doesn’t it? Riding dragons is a brilliant idea and that might be what it’s showing, but actually turning into one is way overpowered
i flat out hate the smoke effect when you break a block in hytale
im so used to tiny particles or voxels flying everywhere like Minecraft or vintage st ory
just flat out clips out of reality with a second of smoke feels soooooo off
a lot of it is old footage, maybe it isn't there anymore

Hey man, do you know the reason they remade the engine? I am really not into social medias, but i want to know if it was for crossplay, performance or the unity new policy.
It was mainly both for crossplay and performance, and also I remember they said it was easyer to upgrade the game (making new versions) afterwars. They are coding it in C (or C++), while before if I'm not mistaken it run on Java. :D

This just looks like a really good minecraft mod
A very good like game that looks like a minecraft mod but is actually a triple AAA that will be released on all platforms without a separate bedrock/java version, with the same functionality, much more advanced integrated modding (yes on consoles and everywhere) and lower-cost servers and a much more stable game that will run much better
and a huge RPG and adventure mode, a huge lore and multitudes of content
This will shatter Minecraft
We should put Minecraft aside for a while to play Hytale and at the same time give massive publicity to Hytale. the game looks incredible

I was like cool then I saw the characters and I was turned off immediately I'm sticking with Minecraft
ikr. everyone is hyping it up so much but it just looks like minecraft with a bunch of awful and strange textures. Nothing can't be done in minecraft with some simple mods that can't be done in hytale.
