    In this video, we’ll guide you through the step-by-step process of making the traditional Mutton Kunna-a rich and flavorful meat curry that originates from Chiniot, Pakistan. Slow-cooked in a clay pot, this dish is known for its tender, melt-in-the-mouth meat and aromatic spices. Whether you’re celebrating Eid, hosting a special occasion, or simply craving a hearty meal, our authentic recipe will satisfy your taste buds.
    Mutton Kunna Recipe:
    1 kg Mutton
    2 cups garlic water
    250 ml oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 tbsp red chili powder
    1 tbsp dry coriander powder
    1/2 tsp turmeric
    1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
    1 tbsp black kashmiri cumin seeds (crushed)
    2 tbsp whole wheat flour
    Method:
    First, wash the mutton thoroughly and place it in a pot.
    Add 2 cups of garlic water to the pot.
    Add 1 chopped medium onion.
    Add 1 tbsp dry coriander powder.
    Add 1/2 tsp turmeric.
    Add 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste).
    Add 250 ml oil.
    Add 1 tbsp black kashmiri cumin seeds (crushed).
    Add 2 tbsp whole wheat flour.
    Layer all these spices over the mutton without stirring.
    Place the pot on the stove and cook on high heat for 5 minutes without stirring. Once the spices begin to separate, reduce the heat to low and let it cook for 15 minutes on dum (steam) without opening the lid.
    After 15 minutes, stir the mixture well and cover again, cooking until the mutton becomes tender.
    Once the mutton is tender, sauté it well until the oil separates.
    Then, add 2 glasses of water and cook for a little while longer.
    Mix 2 tbsp whole wheat flour in 1 cup of water to make a liquid paste and gradually add it to the pot, stirring continuously.
    Cook on high heat for 3 more minutes.
    Add another 1 tbsp of crushed black kashmiri cumin seeds and turn off the stove. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
    Your authentic Chinioti Mutton Kunna is now ready to serve!
