A tip for everyone to counter the rps created by Vegeta's 236L or 236S, all his options (I think) can be beaten by moonjump into j.L. It's tricky but is a great way to deal with a stick situation.
I suddenly had the urge to start playing base vegeta like a week ago... and I forgot you had made a guide. I came for the funny neutral, then remembered the loops. I'm constantly trying out whack team comps so I have no idea If I'll keep him or not. But I wanna learn lmao
So, who’s got the highest sauce value in all of these videos yet? I haven’t been watching in a hot minute and I’m looking for a saucy character to pick up
If you guys still can't loop, I've got a solution for you As soon as the super dash hits, immediately buffer the JM and JS, and then wait until those are over, then proceeded with the JL(dl)JL-JS
Playing vegito lead me to not being minfull of reflect, with vegeta you usually have to go from 2L to 5H. He is still my favorite character, learning his loops made me understand how hitstun works in this game
You should try to bait reflect 8nstead of practicing anti reflect Strings. It's good to have them but they shouldn't be your go to to beat reflect. As soon as you can see the green effect they are vulnerable
@@raidenjeskar2823 Having them as a goto isn't necessarily a bad thing as most people who reflect tend to think its their turn and mash. The result is still the same with varying risks on both sides.
@@Spawnamvs The Risk/Reward is not equal. It only takes a small gap and to glance reaction to bait a reflect by stopping for a second and watching carefully and them taking back your turn with a button. Now, When you whiff a reflect its a full commitment with no system mechanics to save you, not even spark. Your opponent is allowed to choose their highest damaging combo and if they have 75% of a bar to a full bar if meter, they are going to build 2 bars and your looking at (depending on the team/character) 65-90% damage. So even if you just took a couple stray hits in nuetral you could loose an entire character for whiffing a reflect because you didn't want to block. It Also disincentivises the option because you just fucking died from whiffing a reflect, which is more scary than the baby 20 or 30% combo or a scramble situation/Blockstring after you successfully do an anti reflect string. When you attempt to anti reflect string you are creating an RPS. It's an RPS that is in your favor a bit, but it is still a situation where you are more likely to return to nuetral than get a hit on the opponent. So not only is the reward difficult to get, it isn't a very big reward. The opponent has access to most of their options after they reflect your move and can challenge you. The window to react to being reflected is also a lot smaller than the window to react to reflect being whiffed and punishing accordingly. Thus, anti reflect Strings are handy to have when the opponent reflects you when you aren't really expecting it so you can capitalize off of your own mistake of not Baiting the reflect. They are not your go to option when you think someone is mashing reflect. This is a problem in 90% of even the top dbfz players because they fail to consider the situation they are creating and just want to attack the opponent and not allow them to play. Remember. You can only punish your opponent if they do something. And they will only do something if you Let. Them. Play. They want to reflect? Let them reflect. And show them what happens half a second later.
These guides are good and helpful bit I'm never going to learn loops like these, too timing based and I don't have the patience to sit there through it. You have to be precise and perfect on every button and I can't do that not to mention knowing how long to delay stuff. I can do the most basic vegeta loop with 5l, 5h, SD, jms, repeat
you can absolutely do it, once it clicks they become infinitely easier. honestly if you can do the standard bnb you can do any combo youll find in my videos, and if you can do his 5L 5H loops i dont see a single reason why you shouldnt be able to do the other ones!
Vegeta really doesn’t like grabbing crouching enemies doesn’t he? Also, that Grab was first used on a prone Sayian so why can’t it be used on a crouching one? Edit: Well I suppose I answered that myself huh?
is the mid-corner loop still possible? can i still connect the SD after 236M or am i just stupid rn Edit: nvm i was just stupid i just had to be a little bit closer to corner
Do these combos not work anymore or am i just bad because i cant seem to get the loops working properly and my vegeta is landing or doing the moves fast enough like the vegeta in the video
Hey torgue when are you making a video about piccolo, I really need some help on learning how to play him and do some bnbs because I just picked him up and I want to really turn him into one of my teams.
For the corner loops, how is it that vegeta jumps more than twice? I thought you only had two jumps per combo, yet the (j) symbol is repeated many times per loop
14:02 I can't do the SD after the j236M. Either it doesn't SD at all or it happens WAY too late. I am not mashing and trying to figure out the timing. Help? Edit: I'm playing on PC @4k 60FPS using a Dualshock 4 Wireless
I know exactly what you mean, unfortunately I'm not exactly sure why Vegeta sometimes just doesnt want to SD. It could be a distance from the corner thing, but I'm not sure. Luckily you can usually go into the grounded loops from that distance instead, which should be more consistent
Hey I know this vid is like 2 years old but how do you do the float mix after the light rocket kick. I'm trying to learn ssj vegeta too and i know you can do it in the new patch but I just don't know how, can anyone help?
Make sure you're using an assist that allows you to do the loops midscreen, then you just need to dashjump the correct distance and height. The actual timing is the same as the loops in the corner.
