You would have to have something specific to trigger it. Are the missing periods at the end of a paragraph? Would they always be followed by a space and a capital letter (but this pattern doesn’t exist anywhere else in your doc)? Outside of triggers, it comes down to human knowledge. If you want to search on “space-capital letter,” you can use find/change and click “change, find next” to semi-automatically step through the document. -EG
🏆Nice! Thank you! How do I get it to find the "st" and "th" after a date and superscript them? For example the text says "July 1st & 2nd and July 5th - 9th" and I need the "st"s and "th"s to be superscript.
@@CreativePro Thank you! I read the article. I opened the Find/Change box. Selected Grep and put in: (? It found all of the instances. But then I had to make each one superscript. How do I get Grep to do it?
@@amylouisearts In the "change format" field in the GREP search, in Basic Character Formats, choose superscript from the Position menu. (or use a character style with the same formatting)
@@EricaGamet Oh wow! I hadn't even clicked in the box "change format" because it's all gray instead of a drop down type choice. Thank you! Now I see the drop down option to choose superscript. Thank you!
Really admire your teaching. I like to learn more and more from you. You are just adorable. Thanks mam! always.
Thank You very much, Erica! GREP is GREAT!
Erica is the best! This helped so much and so have her other GREP videos.
Thanks for the kind words! I’ll have more GREP topics (and others) in the future. Enjoy! -EG
Thanks! My GREP skills have gotten pretty rusty so this was a big help.
Brilliant! Thank you!
