  • Making an adorable metal rocking horse, simple sculpture #blacksmithing #fyp
Hello all, here is a short video demonstrating how I create an adorable little miniature rocking horse. This is sure to be a hit with loved ones as a gift or just something whimsical and rustic on a shelf.
Hope you are all doing well, Things have settled a bit, However this coming Wednesday the wife goes in for another surgery, Just a simple hernia procedure so she should bounce back pretty quick. I'm slowly starting to try and rollout more content on a regular basis again thank you all for the continued support.
This was a simple build and the template is available for purchase/download via our email @ emptypocketsironworks@gmail.com

Very nice, I know a certain young lady who is mad about horses and would be over the moon about that!

Those turned out great! I have a little girl obsessed with horses that would love one of those. Excellent free handing with the plasma cutter!

    i love those,
do you ever ge anyone asking you to paint what you make,
that drives me crazy when they ask me

Constantly and unfortunately I've had to learn just to give in on the roses and do them in a way that appeals to me. We found that if we make a dozen roses and paint six of them they will sell five to one painted

Nice work kid. I was wondering what your trick was to see what you're cutting with the plasma. I always lose sight of the lines when cutting.
    Thanks

Thank you, I use a pair of laser engraver/resin printer uv filter safety glasses. Another key is to not have any shop lights directly overhead.

Do you have a recommendation for a plasma cutter for a beginner?

Jegs sells a pro cut 40 that I started with. There's several sellers that make machines for around 500 bucks that are decent.
