Shopping mall, etc every countries can have them. In the context of Africa and especially in the region of West Africa. what set Ghana apart and which critical to Africa as a whole, is its stability. A stability rooted in the structures. The development of infrastructure is combined to human development through democratic values. It is not something like in one hand is development of shopping malls, this and that and in the other hand, an authoritarian rule that shapes an atmosphere of fear and that implicitly undermine human development, human expression.

At least, we now hope those who are being bombarded with the narrative that Africa is some country with wars and hungry children and bows and arrows flying all over the place will rethink. Africa is a continent with more than 50 states made up of wealthy countries and peaceful ones too. Yes every country in the world has issues but you don't focus on the ills of one place and continually show only that to the outside world to create the image that there is an issue everywhere. It is just like focusing on some conflicts in West bank everyday and making it look like there is conflict in the whole of Israel. I mean, what if Africa media only depicted some squalid settlements like Skidrow in Los Angeles only in their media and showed only the violence in certain parts. What will people think of America?
