I would tear up every time,, also, but it is all for their own good, the saddest thing I ever had to experience was the birth of my grandson, he was born with his intestines out of his tummy, drs Andre my grandson would be having surgeries through his life,that's the last thing you want to hear, he spent the first two months of his life at children's hospital San Diego,, luckily he has one surgery 2 hours after being born and till this day!? He has been healthy and no more surgeries (: he is now 4 years old,, I call him my little miracle peanut (: I am so happy for you guys,, he is a healthy little copy of you! My sister-in law has one of those sharp glass table. When my son was like 2, something had happened. I went to home depot and bought 2 of those thick yellow sponge. I cut them in half. Then scored a small area in the spong. Small enough to fit in each corner of the table. Each time we went there we put them in each corner of the table. They worked so well, they kept them to this day. Each time someone come to their house with a toddler, they put them. At that time, I didn't even know they had things made specifically for that.

It's good that Geo is talking to Taika in Spanish. Bart should talk to him in Chinese too. It's good to speak more languages, specially if parents teach their kids. At home, my family speak a combination of Spanish, Japanese, & English.
The length of the needle means nothing. The thickness of the needle makes it hurt more. When you get your blood taken, those are some of the smallest needles. When you get shots, you get thicker needles. Shots on babies are always the smallest needles.
Why did they do the leg? Here in Canada at 18mo, its in the arm and they have shots at 18mo and after its only at 4yr before preschool. But i get that you are going on vacation and needed more protection, i just find it wierd they did the leg. Poor Taika, that mustve hurt with him limping and putting his hand on it.
Mad props to GEO for managing the house and taking care of Taika. Makes me appreciate my own mom so much more.
