Stitching Smiles by Kathie Studnicky-Labombard Ipads are great for photos! That’s a great way to take product shots because the screen is bigger and a bit easier to edit on. Keep going!😊 And thanks for stopping by to watch!
I use some similar techniques for my eBay product photography, especially for boardgames and 3-dimensional objects too large or thick or rounded to be scanned on my multifunction printer. Instead of a white Ikea table, I flip one of my tablecloths to its plain white reverse side (since I don't have any completely white tablecloths) and drape it over a card table in my kitchen. And when I want a white bit of "wall" behind an item, I move the card table against the back door and lean a sheet of white foam core board (2 ft. x 3 ft./approx. 60cm x 90 cm) against the door. (I should do more of my eBay product photography against the back door, as the card table's usual position is directly under the overhead fluorescent light, which creates a bit of glare.) I use an Android smartphone I bought at Amazon which had Amazon Photos pre-installed, so all of the photos I take with my phone are automatically saved to the cloud. To edit, I download the photos I want to use from Amazon Photos to my computer, and use the Photos app in Windows 10 to edit (mostly cropping to emphasize the product itself, plus occasional lighting or color correction). I enjoyed seeing the clever ideas you had, though. Your pictures certainly look more professional than my usual eBay product images, and you didn't buy a lot of fancy equipment beyond the phone itself!
Wow! These are fantastic tips you have. I like the flipped tablecloth and foam core tips. I do computer editing as well but many viewers only have access to their phone to take photos so I wanted to help them not have to use a computer. I’d love to do a video with simple editing techniques. Thank you for your thoughtful comment and for watching! Please stay in touch. Kindest regards! 😊📸
Can’t wait! After quarantine is over, I’m starting to sell at markets! Do you think I should make an Etsy to sell my leftovers after the markets? Thanks!
If you can create enough inventory without tiring yourself too much, you should absolutely consider a way to sell online. You will increase the reach of your product to outside your local area. Best of luck! Stay in touch and let me know how it goes!
Karen V Miguel Great idea, thank you! My goal is 25 of each type of scarf, 25 of two types of adult beanies, 15 child beanies, and 10 baby beanies. Also Pom poms that can be added for a few extra dollars. Should that be enough?
CCStars Talk to other vendors of the shows you plan to apply to and estimate your inventory based on their sales. Factor in that shows mst be smaller this year because of the pandemic. If it’s for online selling, start with just one or two in each colour or style. Take pictures of your starting batch then backfill as you sell. It’s much less expensive on yarn.🧶 I love your spunk!
