The Cornerstone University Golden Eagles play at a ballpark that features dorms for the students, creating one of the more unusual ballparks in the nation. The Golden Eagles is a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) member, primarily competing in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC).
De Witt Field was built in 2013 and is the home to the Golden Eagle Baseball team and 92 residents in "Central Hall" The team’s athletic center and the student housing complex are in the same building. The center and residence hall are situated just beyond the stadium’s backstop wall. The building offers 45,000 square feet of space, and roughly half of that square footage is devoted to the residence hall.
The stadium saw its first action on March 14, 2013, as Cornerstone defeated Indiana Wesleyan 6-3 and 4-3 in a doubleheader. It was later dedicated in a formal ceremony on September 21 in the "Heading Home" Celebration.
