Brother thank you for taking the time to make this video, I am also a very detailed oriented kind of person, have a look at what I do, anyways thank-you for taking the time! This is going to help tremendously!
Thank you mister for showing how to do it whit just simpel things like plasic and super glue, this i will try to on my tamiya. Love your video's and tips😉 Greetings from Belgium
I'm new to racing. But I'm in M-Chassis and using an M08. At first it was very difficult to drive without spinning out etc. 2 things that made a big difference was 60D wheels and changing the springs. Went from comming last to battling for 1st place.
I am very impressed with your skills. I have watched your videos. I am a filipino residing in California. I hope I can have my tamiyas checked by you when we visit Philippines soon. Can you set up my cars? Im willing to pay you for your expertise.
@@rccartips Mark Bryan RC has a video comparing the TT-01 and TT-02 slop and it's twice as bad in the TT-02. Same when they compared the steering slop of the XV-01 chassis to the XV-02 Pro.
M08 is rwd? from what you've done you are serious. What are the real performance difference between 4wd and rwd? My own experience... the front gear unit consumes lots of energy, even drags the track time. Putting in even higher power may burst the gear unit. If rwd is good enough for 80 to 90%, may forget 4WD? What do you think?
If very high grip and flowing track the difference is little. Slidy tracks 4wd will be much faster. I enjoy rwd more than 4wd or fwd. I have an older video where I ran a 1/10 rwd touring car against 4wd, it ran well.
very interesting... thanks for the idea and, do you have a video on how to properly setup the m08 for racing? I'm running the M08 too, but it has a problem at full throttle when it starts it will immediately turn left
No setup tips yet. M08 will have a tendency to veer when too much power is applied that overpowers the grip of the tire and track. I just raced today, key is to find the right tires front and rear that give good balance, maybe leaning towards understeer. And traction compound to balance the front/rear grip as well.
Hi Joel, I have question for you. I have an M-08 and car is really good and perform well, but have a tweak on handling. When I steer left the car have so much steering compare to right. I change tyres, and check droop, ride height, camber, stering angle etc. nothing solved. I use more toe in on the right back compare to left to balance the car 🤷♂️. That strange, have you something like in your car?
Sometimes I have the same issues with my M04 but luckily so far non with the M08. Maybe it is the caster inserts, there is an orientation when putting them in the C-hub. If incorrect instead of 4 caster you might get less caster. Try measure your caster on each side. :)
@@rccartips thanks for your reply, I checked and caster is the same, almost 4 degrees. I think the problem is on the chassis, it’s very soft (glass fiber version) and I think have different L/R flex. This is my car on my practice track. ua-cam.com/video/8oOvEqtArfk/v-deo.html&feature=sharea
@@fabriziobatisti9439 It looks very fast :) maybe the diff (left outdrive more stiction that the right)? btw how do you like the IRIS? is fine tuning the suspension as easy as various coil springs?
Iris One is a very good and fast car, very easy to adjust, the bar coil is very progressive and the car is very calm at the beginning and very fast if you push. But if you touch something is very easy to tweak because the bottom from arms moves with bulkheads, but the company work very hard to fix this problem, for sure before the next carpet season. @@rccartips
I like the tip of using the screw to assure that the hexagon is right.

thank you for the guide and tips, the thumb screw for securing the wheels is interesting. i must try.
I only use it to temporarily set camber/toe. For running I use the regular serrated nuts.

Tamiya - First in slop around the world 😂
I am beginning to believe they engineered slop into their designs :D
