HELLO HELLO!! Just wanted to give a quick little heads up/announcement to those of you who may not check the community tab regularly!! I know this video is VERY out of left field, so I want to give a little explanation for it!! I've had to pause on recording gaming videos recently due to some technology issues and completely moving my entire recording setup to another room. I didn't want to hop right back in to recording 2-hour long videos in case there were any major errors that messed with the footage - so I decided to test it with something shorter first!! It just so happened to be around the same time that the next EPIC saga dropped, and I REALLY wanted to document my reaction to it - so here we are!! I can promise you, none of the current series have been abandoned!! In fact, I'm getting ready to record the next In Stars and Time video right - here's hoping we don't run into any visual glitches. But I'm hoping to be back to our regular posting soon, and I appreciate all of your patience!!

This is getting scary, Aster! How are you making videos about every special interest I’ve ever had?? This was amazing, by the way! Your reactions are always so fun :D
I honestly ADORE calypso’s song here, because I think it does a fantastic job of showing that often times abusive behaviour is completely subconscious. Calypso is objectively an abusive partner, and she doesn't understand that. Her behaviour doesn't stem from maliciousness but rather from deprivation, she has never had a healthy relationship, and has no other option than Odysseus, so in her eyes HE’s the delusional one. She's been there a century unable to leave, so he should just accept that they're stuck together and love her back. Not only that but even when realising he IS leaving, and that if he loved her and felt safe/happy with her he wouldn't, she is unable to take accountability because of her upbringing. Because to her there was no other option, their love was inevitable why should she wait? Be patient or accept his rejection? Even in her apology, she turns it back on him. “Im sorry my love is too much for YOU” I'm sorry you can't handle it, not that I was unkind and forced you into things you didn't want, I'm sorry YOU weren’t good enough, were too broken to reciprocate my actions. And I think it is a fantastic representation of that kind of emotional abuse because you're always the bad guy for being another person to leave or reject them.
Even in a song to show her side of the story and make us more empathetic, its still clear that she feels owed his love. That she feels she ‘deserves’ it.
THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THSI!!!!!!!!!! I honestly feel like this song was really masterfully done - because it's such a complex topic, but I feel like it was portrayed really well.
@@rymasan5489 Because, while I'm not going to claim that he did nothing wrong, he isn't responsible for what happened to the crew to the extent that people seem to believe. He and Odysseus are 50/50 as far as I'm concerned.
I love the theory that the reason he was able to beat poseidon was because he was blessed in that moment not by athena, but by ARES, who is associated with red and whos quickthought makes you angrier and more fierce
@asterkatt When the captin has obsessively guarded a bag for 9 days straight without sleep that a god gave him, what other conclusion can you come to, other than he has been cursed. Storms can dispate without warning it makes sense why Eury has his doubts.
@@jonjonvids he should have had more faith in ody than what he did though, plus when he killed a sacred cow of the sun god when ody was desperately begging him to not do it, both times he didn't listen and got multiple people killed, the latter time including himself
As an Epic fan seeing your reaction made me feel the same way as I felt while listening to this saga on the livestream for the first time. The hype the happiness and joy in your face was the same as mine was. Thank you for the reaction and for the content. I love seeing others feel the same way as me about Epic. You gained my follow.
I really enjoyed the theory people have made of Ares temporarily stepping in at the end of 600 strikes or maybe having been there the whole song giving Odysseus a rage state. Especially near the end. When Athena would have been there trying to convince him to be rational about this, Ares is just over his shoulder like “Okay…Now hear me out. What if! You stabbed him. Like a lot!” Especially since Ares isn’t exactly too fond of Poseidon since both him and Zeus are basically ones for….non consensual activities and Ares isn’t one who enjoys that.
Ngl i really hate this theory because this kinda nullifies the fact that Odysseus mostly become a monster because of Poseidon and it is his almost unhealthy obsession with wanting to get home at any cost (which killed the rest of the crew, ones who Poseidon didn't, and which comes from his becoming a monster) that gives him strength+defeating poseidon with only the wind bag (second time, mind you) shows that while odysseus learns from his mistakes, even TOO much, poseidon REFUSES to change and this is what leads to his downfall, and adding ares to their confrontation makes it all pointless and a little bit stupid, sorry lol. But as a funny concept ig it kinda cool
@@bbgrl-l1s I’m sorry but looking at it from a certain stand point, it’s gonna take a whole lot more then becoming a ruthless man obsessed with getting home to bring down a god. Not to mention one of the three leading gods of The Greek Pantheon. Ares stepping in to give divine strength to Odysseus so he can face down THE GOD OF THE SEA doesn’t take away from his character development. It just makes more sense then him strapping the wind bag to his back like a jet pack and beating Poseidon in the goofiest manner possible. Like I love 600 strikes but the way Odysseus beat Poseidon was goofy as hell. It only makes sense for Ares to have stepped in to at least aid him in The Poseidon fight. Because he’s gonna wanna witness the blood shed first hand, and the mf hates Poseidon so he’s gonna wanna be petty and see to it that Poseidons biggest opp gets his get back
@@brotherbarbatos8981 than why there is not a single bit of ares motif during song. Also WHAT DO YOU MEAN TAKE WHOLE LOT MORE? he is not just dude - he has divine blood and athenas guidance at his side. In illiad diomedes poke ares, god of war, on battlefield, in his own domain, and he was forced to recover for a long time after this. Why defeating weakened by god move and storm possession is such a stretch for you lmao. also yeah, jetpack is goofy, but jay took inspiration from anime and the end of vengeance saga is most animeish shit i ever witnessed. Ody literally goes super syan, ofc he is overpowering poseidon like every Shonen protag would do. Possession used his ult dude out of mana he can't cast shit - look at him in the official animatics from stream. Bro not even TRYING to defend himself and no matter if ares involved or not, this shit is still gonna be questionable at the best. What ares involvement do is fucking up whole deal with the monster, characters dynamics and whole bunch of other stuff. Also, i don't remember any myth where ares was really hating poseidon. I don't know from what fandom you guys taking it. Even if stand from "poseidon is rapist" point of view, than i dont see any reason of him helping Odysseus bc Achaeans were raping woman left and right and ody dgaf about that. Only when dude rape cassandra on statue of athena he was concerned but even than thinking more about divine punishment on their heads than poor girl. And this if we even considering him defender of women at any capacity, because in his name, in the name of most bloody side of war, cities were robbed, men slaughtered on burning streets and women were raped. He was a greek god - and they see in women nothing except dirty whores with lustful wetness between legs, war trophy to fuck or wife to breed. Ares as tmblr imagine him just cannot exist in ancient greece, so why would he be so hateful to poseidon in the first place and why than poseidon not mentioned in his lines from god games? and lastly, "looking at it from a certain stand point" than MAYBE whole problem is that you made up hc shit canon in your head and don't even wanna watch at it from different stand point, no? dont piss me of pls
@ lmao I already pissed you off if you’re typing out a whole Bible with some pretty shit grammar and a whole lot of spelling errors. Anyways. Yeah Ares hates Poseidon since Poseidons son literally raped Ares’ daughter then proceeded to go against him when Zeus decided to hold a trial over Ares after Ares reacted in kind and killed his daughters rapist. Ares hates rapists. Two of the biggest rapists in Greek Mythology? Poseidon and Zeus. Also. Odysseus in mythology wasn’t some super human warrior like Diomedes or Achilles. A lot of the soldiers in the Iliad had some kind of strength. Odysseus was just a master battle strategist and didn’t even fight Poseidon in the actual Odyssey. Sure his great grandfather was Hermes but that is such a distant relation it doesn’t even qualify you as a Demi-god. And Athena wasn’t even here to lend him her aid. I’m gonna be honest so much of your paragraph is a headache, branches so far off from the original point and I can’t even understand it so I’m gonna end this off with. Just because it was purposely based on a shounen anime doesn’t mean that there weren’t better ways to take 600 strikes and most of your reasoning for why Ares intervening would ruin it because it would make Odysseus transition to a monster pointless doesn’t make sense. Just because the petty God of War wants to witness a usually rational hero give in to his more violent tendencies and decides to give him a little boost in strength for the fun of it does not take away from the character development.
Okay, the reactions where really good and all.. but can we talk about how adorable her reactions to hermes was?! That little dance had me wanting to join in
I would love to be a fly on the wall when Poseidon goes to Olympus to complain. The other gods will probably laugh at him. “Poseidon got his scaly behind handed to him by a mortal!”
i heard someone made an animation of zeus and hades doing that exact thing reacting posiedon getting his ass kicked i need to find it still or i'd tell you what its called xD
@@rymasan5489 I'm of the opinion that both Eurylochus and Odysseus are flawed human beings. While Eurylochus definitely messed up with opening the wind bag, Odysseus also messed up by not trusting his second in command and literal brother in law at all. And of course, Odysseus literally sacrificed six of their comrades for his own selfishness. I don't think Eurylochus is completely absolved of guilt but I definitely think he gets too much hate considering he's literally just trying his best on an absolutely doomed voyage with a captain who he thought was his best friend but ultimately seems to put no trust in him at all.
I wouldn’t call it selfishness as more would have died if they had tried to fight, and 6 men is not the same as over 500 men, and no one attacks home for opening the wind bag while Odysseus gets stabbed
There a theory going around that his eyes are red in 600 strike because Ares was helping him since Ares is Athena brother and was the first person to show concern when she was “struck down” by Zeus. That and since she convinced Ares to release him by saying he’ll be a bloodshed machine to get home and in 600 strike that’s exactly what he decided to become
to be completely honest i disagree with that theory. personally i feel like it takes away from the monster Odysseus became. it’s all him. no one helped him so this is what he became. i think his eyes turned red to show that who he was before fully and truly died (drew his final breath) at the end of get in the water and he completely became that monster who is no longer him as Tiresias told him.
I found this channel today, and let me tell you: I was having a bad day. But your reaction to this saga filled me with indescribable giddiness. I hope you never lose this enthusiasm
Six Hundred Strike did a great job showing something that the Greek gods always conveyed only bad when it happened to us Poseidon after all the stuff he did in ruthlessness and threatened to do, he never thought that he would be on the receiving end of his own words.
I always love coming across a channel reacting to something they love and just seeing how giddy they get over it. I can't get over how much I love Epic and your reaction is such a treat lol
29:24 - Fun fact: the Full Speed Ahead melody of "Watch where the birds fly, they will lead us to land..." sounds very similar to "'Cause they're getting impatient... Dangerous too..." from Legendary! So, I thought you might've said Legendary there, but I think it is supposed to be Full Speed Ahead :D 33:28 - THE HAIR TUCK!! I would LOVE to see you react to more things aside from video games!! You're actually the person who got me into video games, but before I met you, I was super into shows and other similar things (including EPIC!!), so it'd be super cool to see your reactions to stuff like that! Back to my roots hehe :)) I love your reactions to literally anything--they're so genuine and infectious, so I'm always down to see more!! your enthusiasm is so infectious!!! you made me so excited just watching this and i’ve seen both the original livestream and other people’s reactions so many times but it felt like i was watching for the first time again
A tiny detail I love about the Dangerous animatic: The fist-bump. Just a quick little fist bump between fights. It just goes to show that Odysseus and Hermes truly like/respect each other. Like Athena may not have been willing to say to Odysseus' face that they're friends, but Hermes is so upfront about the fact that he likes Ody
seeing your reaction to polites AGAIN coming to wreck our emotions was genuinely really funny. jorge cant keep getting away with this (/silly) but it was a lotta fun seeing your reactions!! i enjoy calypso's song too but personally i think my favorite is get in the water (tied with dangerous its just so fun) a thing i noticed was in dangerous, it starts with just acoustic guitar cause thats one of ody's motif instruments and its literally JUST HIM on that raft and the pause after "one goal in mind" was where the crew would have joined in during their previous songs which is just devastating ngl im so excited for the next saga but also its the LAST SAGA its gonna drive me mad

I thought I had braced myself because I KNEW there was a strong possibility that he would bring Polites up but in the midst of everything I completely forgot and AUGHHH when I catch you Jorge - /j and ACK thank you so so much!! also I did not pick up on the significance of the silence and I have been thinking about it every single time the song plays since so thanks for that /pos

The way I SCREAMED when I saw this video! A friend of mine loves this musical. I definitely didn't expect to find a reaction on your yt channel, but it's such a welcomed surprise
You're right about the gods summoning voices. But remember that Hermes is the only god that was there in over 100 years so it means that Calypso only knew how to do that from Hermes. Which also means Hermes sang to Calypso implying that they really do talk in songs. If you know whay i mean
i am very happy to know i not the only Eurylochus defender! just needed to pause and say that! now i will go back and start watching the rest of you video XD
Idk if you heard it or if someone pointed it out but in "Get in the Water" when Poseidon is singing Ruthlessness before his God Move you can hear the Cyclops vocals back Poseidons and that is probably my favorite detail in the vocals
In Six hundred Strike, I feel like his eyes glowing red could either reference his fury and violence in relation to maybe Ares giving him strength since Ares is the god of war, fury, violence, vengeance. Orrr it could be that himself is of godly descent. He’s an descendant of Hermes
A fun little tidbit I've picked up on. There is a theory that Calypso's isolation is so complete that she is unable to summon backup vocals. As such, the backup vocals are her and Ody overlapping as Ody is suffering from a bit of Stockholm Syndrome.
I remember from the Odyssey feeling very sorry for Calypso. I'm not sure if my memory is clear, but I believe she was also trapped on the island. Welp! I recently purchased a new translation of both the Iliad and the Odyssey, so I'll know for sure soon!
RAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH I LOVE EPIC THE MUSICAL, if you wanted more videos i wouldn't mind watching your reactions to some of the newer animations! of the past sagas
YOU'RE AMAZING REACTOR!!! If you'll want to share your emotions and opinion again you definitely should continue this format (And oh my god your's so beautiful and cute too???!! As a person with curls I absolutely love your hairstyle)
If you listen closely to the music during the part of 600 Strike where Ody is stabbing Poseidon you can hear the prophet’s melody in the background - very nice but subtle touch 🤭
So this autoplayed in my recommendations and i was worried id get one of those reactions thats like just string at the screen like 😶 so i was actually so happy you were pausing and rewinding 🙏
@@WhatMyrSo… you don’t like reactions? I mean, like, what do you expect them to do? Stare at a screen, and make one or two expressions, statements, and miss things while talking? Just watch the original video at that point.
You dropping this off made sense- But I'm so gladdddd. I love this musicallll and have been following it for a long timeeee it's so good! Hearing "Eury defender" was so unfortunateeee for meee I despise the man with every fiber of my being 😭
That's so valid but I just can't bring myself to hate him sdkfsldflkj - he's so HUMAN and he brings so much to the story!! for me, character's intentions matter more than anything. When I'm deciding how I feel about a character, their intentions matter more to me than their actions. And not once did Eury have any intentions that felt extremely selfish or ingenuine and that's where I find myself defending him.
I will say, Jorge was very clear that both Circe and Calypso were changed from their original versions, so neither of them SA'd Odysseus in EPIC. Though Calypso was definitely pushy, relentless, and guilt-trippy in EPIC. Though, given that she raised herself from early young childhood, she had no one to teach her better. She has no clue how to navigate feelings in any kind of capacity, let alone something as powerful and complex as love. Ody laid it out well: he doesn't love her romantically, but I think he ended up caring for her in a platonic manner, or at least as the person who kept him from ending his own life who knows how many times over those seven years. It doesn't excuse her very wrong actions and her ignoring his boundaries, but it does explain them.
This is a really good take on it!! For me, my dislike comes explicitly from her refusal to take his no for an answer - but I do like this way of looking at it!!
I love this reaction so much because you noticed all the little things and it was so amazing to see!!! This Saga is My favorite mainly Charybdis to 600 Strike. Because I feel like Charybdis is the first we hear of Odysseus' instrument wich is guitar (Jay said that each character has an instrument if you didn't know) and when he gets serious its an electric instead of acustic like in Remember Them and in Monster we hear a electric guitar then Jay introduces the Different Beast melody for 'Ody is about to do something horrible' and uhhhg the way we hear Ody so hopeful to get home in Charbdis then the viceral 'No!!' is so horrible especially because in the snippets we had for Get In The Water, Posiedons 'I can't' wasn't in it so we had no idea that Odysseus even tried to be open, to have open arms and Posiedon just couldn't handle it then getting into 600 strike with the instant electric guitar so you know 'oh crap things are getting real' and the use of Aeoulis' melody to let us know Ody is opening the bag and the chorus playing the Danger Is Near melody is so good. Then the Different Beast melody when Ody tells Posiedon to call off the storm- like I heard that and was instantly like 'Oh my god. What is he going to do' I knew he was going to do something horrible. Jay just puts so much thought into all of his songs and I love that man so much. He is so into his own work and it is the most amazing thing ever.
LKSDJFLKDSJFJ thank you!! And OOO yes that is SUCH a valid reason for those favorites - honestly all the songs are incredible it's so hard to choose between them!! and AUGH Jay is genuinely such a genius it is actually such an honor to be able to listen to something that he put SO much thought and work into - I will never cease to be so incredibly impressed!!
Also, (Un)Fun Fact: the pause after "Cause I had one goal in mind" is *exactly* long enough to fit the "make it back alive to our homeland" from Full Speed Ahead.
calypso actully did love ody, like, really REALLY loved him. She was cursed to fall head over heels in love with whoever washed up on her island by a pissy ex husband and ody was the first. So he was quite literally her everything, she loved him so much she would have no doubt lowered herself to a concubine just to stay with him if he'd have it and she was permitted to leave.
It's a tragic story for sure from what I've heard - and a part of me does feel for her. However, that doesn't excuse her for refusing to take no for an answer.
I see a lot of people saying they dont know how many songs the new sagas are going to have, Jorge has said in a video (don't remember which one) that every saga in Act 2 will have 5 songs, and there will be 40 songs in total in EPIC, just so you know. Not finished with the video yet, but really fun so far!
Great reaction! I think id be a Eury defender if Jorge stook to his original idea of having Poseidon tell him to open the bag. Then it couldve mirrored Zeus telling Ody to yeet the infant. I also prefer Eury's reasoning in the Odyssey for killing the cow. Basically "Well id rather die with a full belly"
That is such a fascinating idea!! And honestly I think that's a part of the reason here too sdlkjfskljdf - like bro literally accepted "we're never gonna make it home" so at that point he had already accepted he was gonna die. Might as well eat before he does so ldskfjlkdsjf
The music and animations are incredible. “Relax my friend” (why) (why, why, why, why, why) The part where he drowned and says “Relax my friend” that’s bad. (Sighs) sorry for spamming why a lot Lol.
I love the Epic livestreams because I keep using them to create new Winions. With the Vengeance Saga I finally infected my last free friend. Yesterday she got her sister. Edit: you like it when the tempo of the lyrics increases (as do i :3)

I will THROW HANDS for him AUGH I love him so much AND AAA THANK YOU!! I'm almost halfway through The Last Olympian now hehe I'm really really enjoying it!!
I definitely enjoyed this saga, though I admit it took me a few listens to really settle into it. Wisdom Saga is my second favorite (fighting for top spot with Underworld), and God Games was SUCH a touch act to follow that it put Vengeance Saga at a bit of a disadvantage for a while (just for me). I love Calypso's song too, though I think my fave from this saga is Dangerous just because it's so catchy. I do have a weak spot for this version of Hermes though, sooooo~ 😂 I'm super excited for the next saga, but it'll be hard letting go! I only discovered Epic the day after the Thunder Saga stream, so I hate to think about there only being one more stream. It'll be neat to see where Jorge takes the project once it's finished, though! ^_^

That little dance had me wanting to join in
SDLKJFLKDSJF STOP thank you hehe ^-^
I would love to be a fly on the wall when Poseidon goes to Olympus to complain. The other gods will probably laugh at him. “Poseidon got his scaly behind handed to him by a mortal!”

“I am an Eurylochus defender.”
… I like this one
Eurylochus defenders unite!!!
Why though ? 😅
@@jesusdiego6059 also ody did not sack 6 men. He told his second to light torches. Nothing about handing them out. That was all one him.
"No! Frick this! No!" She says, smiling
And here's me trying to comfort this person through the screen, going "It's okay, kiddo, I promise! His name is totally on the front of the book!" 🤣
This has to be my favorite reaction video out of all that ive seen
AKF:DSLFKD YOU'RE TOO KIND THANK YOU

jsdhfkjdshf I'm glad you enjoyed!! Thanks for experiencing it with me >:DD
Prometheus treatment coming right up
“Look what you turned me into” hits on such another level.
There a theory going around that his eyes are red in 600 strike because Ares was helping him since Ares is Athena brother and was the first person to show concern when she was “struck down” by Zeus. That and since she convinced Ares to release him by saying he’ll be a bloodshed machine to get home and in 600 strike that’s exactly what he decided to become
to be completely honest i disagree with that theory. personally i feel like it takes away from the monster Odysseus became. it’s all him. no one helped him so this is what he became. i think his eyes turned red to show that who he was before fully and truly died (drew his final breath) at the end of get in the water and he completely became that monster who is no longer him as Tiresias told him.
ehh it’s just a theory, unless it’s made canon I doubt anyone really puts much stock in it
OO fascinating!! That's a very neat theory!!
I found this channel today, and let me tell you: I was having a bad day. But your reaction to this saga filled me with indescribable giddiness. I hope you never lose this enthusiasm
dsfkjshdkjfh you're so sweet thank you so much
Six Hundred Strike did a great job showing something that the Greek gods always conveyed only bad when it happened to us Poseidon after all the stuff he did in ruthlessness and threatened to do, he never thought that he would be on the receiving end of his own words.
I always love coming across a channel reacting to something they love and just seeing how giddy they get over it. I can't get over how much I love Epic and your reaction is such a treat lol
DLKSJFLJDSf thank you so much!!!!! I was so excited to be able to record my reaction to this!!
@asterkatt you're absolutely welcome! Your excitement was so fun to watch and im glad I stumbled upon your channel! Lol
29:24 - Fun fact: the Full Speed Ahead melody of "Watch where the birds fly, they will lead us to land..." sounds very similar to "'Cause they're getting impatient... Dangerous too..." from Legendary! So, I thought you might've said Legendary there, but I think it is supposed to be Full Speed Ahead :D
33:28 - THE HAIR TUCK!!
I know we were talking about this a little in the Discord, but if you wanted to record your reactions to Alien Stage, that's definitely something I'm specifically interested in!! (Can you tell I'm completely obsessed? Curse you, Zilla. Why must you drag all of us into things. /j /pos)
Anyways, I'm super happy to have been (and continue to be) an enabler of your EPIC obsession because. Hehehehehehe. Whenever you find the time to look into scoring for the Vengeance Saga (no rush, ofc
HELP THE HAIR TUCK HAS BECOME AN UNCONCIOUS HABIT IT'S TOO FUN TO DO - also that melody note is so neat I love how much I still have to learn about this musical :DD
I am SO down to react to Alien Stage!! It's to the point that I am genuinely considering making a separate channel if I plan to continue with reactions though,.,.. gonna be brainstorming on that a lot

THIS IS ACTUALLY A REALLY NEAT DETAIL WAIT
Saw a comment on wisdom saga that Jorge really uses polites like pocket sand and I still haven't gotten over it
seeing your reaction to polites AGAIN coming to wreck our emotions was genuinely really funny. jorge cant keep getting away with this (/silly)
but it was a lotta fun seeing your reactions!! i enjoy calypso's song too but personally i think my favorite is get in the water (tied with dangerous its just so fun)
a thing i noticed was in dangerous, it starts with just acoustic guitar cause thats one of ody's motif instruments and its literally JUST HIM on that raft and the pause after "one goal in mind" was where the crew would have joined in during their previous songs which is just devastating ngl im so excited for the next saga but also its the LAST SAGA its gonna drive me mad
NO LITERALLY!! I thought I had braced myself because I KNEW there was a strong possibility that he would bring Polites up but in the midst of everything I completely forgot and AUGHHH when I catch you Jorge - /j

Calypso didn't trap him on her island, it's a rule of her island. No one can leave, and no one can go to her island, not even her.
Then why did Athena say "7 years SHE'S kept you trapped out of your control"??? It doesn't make sense
@@Shoko-t3y I don’t know, but calypso can’t trap people on her island because she couldn’t even leave if she wanted much less let someone else leave

Thank you so much!! I definitely have more reactions planned for the future :))
The way I SCREAMED when I saw this video!
A friend of mine loves this musical. I definitely didn't expect to find a reaction on your yt channel, but it's such a welcomed surprise
SDFKLDSLKFJ yes it's very out of the ordinary but was,.,., shocking well received !!
I'm so very glad I'm not the only one!! These comments have taught me there are more of us than I expected!!
Idk if you heard it or if someone pointed it out but in "Get in the Water" when Poseidon is singing Ruthlessness before his God Move you can hear the Cyclops vocals back Poseidons and that is probably my favorite detail in the vocals
THIS IS SO COOL I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE AMOUNT OF DETAIL THAT WENT INTO THIS AUGH
I really like your enthusiasm! You appreciate a lot of the little things here that I do, so I'm definitely up for more reaction content!
AAA thank you so so much!!
Final moments of this Saga are just Ody going, "Mercy has a price? Well so does ruthlessness."
dang what a good way of putting it
In Six hundred Strike, I feel like his eyes glowing red could either reference his fury and violence in relation to maybe Ares giving him strength since Ares is the god of war, fury, violence, vengeance. Orrr it could be that himself is of godly descent. He’s an descendant of Hermes
All of those are super fascinating takes!!!!!!
I will say out of all reactors you have a faster pace than most and personality is top tear keep it up You've got a talent
Thank you!!! ^-^
A fun little tidbit I've picked up on. There is a theory that Calypso's isolation is so complete that she is unable to summon backup vocals. As such, the backup vocals are her and Ody overlapping as Ody is suffering from a bit of Stockholm Syndrome.
that would actually be SO neat wait
I remember from the Odyssey feeling very sorry for Calypso. I'm not sure if my memory is clear, but I believe she was also trapped on the island.
Welp! I recently purchased a new translation of both the Iliad and the Odyssey, so I'll know for sure soon!

If you listen closely to the music during the part of 600 Strike where Ody is stabbing Poseidon you can hear the prophet’s melody in the background - very nice but subtle touch 🤭
the details in this musical are INSANE /pos
So I believe in the fan theory that the beginning of 600 strike, ares had given him power, because of when ares appeared, his eyes were the same color
This is a very interesting theory for sure!!
poseidon's face is smiling in the water below ody and his raft as he drags ody further away before showing up in his physical form

Hearing "Eury defender" was so unfortunateeee for meee
I despise the man with every fiber of my being 😭
That's so valid but I just can't bring myself to hate him sdkfsldflkj - he's so HUMAN and he brings so much to the story!!
for me, character's intentions matter more than anything. When I'm deciding how I feel about a character, their intentions matter more to me than their actions. And not once did Eury have any intentions that felt extremely selfish or ingenuine and that's where I find myself defending him.
This saga was incredible, I loved watching your reactions!!!
AAA thank you so so so much!!! It truly was an incredible saga!!

I HATE (LOVE) THIS DETAIL SO MUCH AUGH IT'S SO GENIUS BUT SO AUGH
calypso actully did love ody, like, really REALLY loved him.

Might as well eat before he does so ldskfjlkdsjf
the instrument in calypso's song is called steel pan it sounds very tropical

I definitely enjoyed this saga, though I admit it took me a few listens to really settle into it.
