  • Can the snowmobile bogie wheel bearings be replaced without buying new bogie wheels? YES! In this video I will show you how I replaced the bearings in these rear bogie wheels. The same can be done to replace the bearings inside the middle bogie wheels of the snowmobile. Sometimes the bearings can become stuck inside the bogie wheels and make it difficult to remove them, as I discovered with one of the bogie wheels on this sled.

Outstanding bud at one time I was serving 3 sleds at once our winter are not as nice as yours and we ran through mud puddles quite frequently so part of my winterization every year was change all bearings chain case oil and go through and tune the clutches. I'm going to buy you a vice

Where did you get your bearings from?. I'm in the process of doing the same on my 95' vmax600.

Did you check the ends of the torsion springs where the metal of the torsion spring goes thru the black plastic keepers at the bottom of the track? The black plastic torsion spring holders show a lot of wear in this video. Often the spring will wear right thru the idler wheel support metal that is just below the torsion spring arm. This will cause your suspension to bind and feel rough when riding in road pack.

Thank you for noticing, I saw them too. They have some more plastic left before they turn metal on metal. I'll keep an eye on them. I think the wear accelerated due to rust on the spring surface acting like sandpaper.
