I love this. Thank you. I’ve waited decades for that. Here’s a thought: when he’s sidestepping with whole tone, he’s also by definition superimposing a functioning secondary dominant. You dig?
Thanks Bill. Glad this was useful for you. Yes I do indeed dig! I find seeing it seeing it as as a semitone up as it's easier for me in the moment but seeing it as a functioning secondary dominant is also a great way to see it too!
Great video! You sound great man! Just one little nit-picky thing...that first example is a mode of the diminished scale( half-whole, half-whole etc), not the actual diminished scale, which is whole-half, whole-half etc. Just though folks should be aware of the difference. Peace!
Very helpful what you did here! Thank you very much! ❤
If this was a college course, I'd sign up. 1st 5 mins of this is whole month's worth of homework for me ...

Fantastic!!!!! Love the ‘outside’ vids! 👏
Glad to see the 335 back in business. Cheers.
Me too! Feels good to have the tone I hear in my head coming out of the speakers 😊
This is some invaluable stuff, thank you!
Glad you found this useful mate!

Hey there thank you for the lesson you are a great teacher, love from nepal : )
Ah Nepal! I loved it there. I played a show there about 3/4 years ago. Man your food is so tasty!

Thanks for watching!
What effects/pedals do you use for the sound in the intro?I'm not good at effects😅
I’m using my Kemper with the overdrive from the Lonestar Mesa Boogie patch.
10:35 what kind of chorus effect are you using here? I like it
It’s two effects. A chorus and a fast vibrato 😃
Hello! I’ve been able to get that sound with a Walrus Julianna pedal with an exp pedal assigned to depth… woozy fun!
Are you able to describe your signal chain here?
Sure! It’s a Kemper but I’m playing through a Mesa Boogie Profile with some Chorus and Rotary for the wacky sounds.
Bro shave your head! Become baby Sco!!!
