5 star reviews and he uses metal zippers, both pluses in my book! However, I would prefer having a _lined_ bag, but that's just my opinion. I'm guessing the 'big box designer' bags tend to use thinner leather because many of them also put a type of coating over it, rather than just letting the leather speak for itself. There are LOTS of beautiful, hand made leather bags on etsy, I'm finding (and for less $!).
