Leaving the bed unmade, to air out, is healthier. Just drape the bedding over a chair or quilt rack awhile before making the bed. Keep the practice easy by not overloading your bed with more sheets & blankets than needed.

Making the bed is one of the last things I do before leaving for work.

In hot weather I make the bed and then turn the covers back, neatly. Let's the sheets air and dry out.

I agree with the consensus that the judginess isn't helpful, appropriate or necessary. it's much better to cut yourself some slack than overwork yourself. maybe you'll finish up tomorrow. no big deal. take pride in whatever victories you achieve and aspire to get better

It takes me about 2 min to make my bed. I used to leave it unmade. I hung a tension rod horizontally on 1 side under my kitchen sink & hung spray bottles. Put everything else in $ store baskets. Hung a box on the door for cleanser. Now I actually know what's there

The spray bottle idea sounds good. I'm going to try it - thanks!

In the summertime you actually should wait 2 hours before making your bed. It kills the bacteria from your skin and lets it dry out if you sweat.

She is wrong, leaving the bed unmade allows it to dry out. An average healthy young male loses on averages about 25 milliliters of water per hour, or 200 milliliters per eight hours of sleep.

Never leave dirty dishes in sink. Years ago, on Oprah, she featured hoarders. When asked how it all started, they said they left dishes in sink. It's a gateway to hoarding, lol. Great tips, BTW.

I also heard that it helps to save money because you don’t get frustrated looking at a sink full of dishes and just go out to eat...

Hello. My name is Rickey. I have just watched your video, and I thank you for it. I believe I need to do better with my cleaning. Hopefully, I will put it to use. Again, I thank you so much for what you made mention in the video.

This person seems to be obsessed with bacteria! And yet she doesn't know that making the bed immediately on waking is a bad habit that helps breed dust mites!
I once, as teenage shop assistant (whitegoods and electrical) had, effectively 2 bosses. One told me to dust the shop first, then sweep the floor, thus picking up the dust that had now settled on the floor. The other saw me doing this and said, "You've just dusted and now you're stirring up the dust by sweeping. It'll be all over everything!" 50 years later I'm still confused! LOL.

Funny! That is a confusing thought...🤔 I always dust from ceiling to floor because dust eventually settles downward. But, probably the best way to minimize dust from being stirred up everywhere is to just use a powerful vacuum cleaner with attachments, instead of a feather duster & broom.

Same here. I'm the only one who's gonna see it and sleep in it so why on earth do I really need to waste my valuable time by making my bed everyday when I know that I'm just going to mess it up all over again every night when I get right back in it whenever it's time for me to go to sleep. It's tedious, a mundane inconvenience (unless you have a housecleaner or some sort of domestic hired help who gets paid to do those kinds of things for you o/c), and it's just one more time consuming unnecessary chore that you really don't need or want to add onto your already very busy, super hectic day/life.

I agree with the majority of the comments on here, you just wasted 5 minutes of my time. I thought you were gonna tell us something we don’t already know not treat us like we’re idiots & have no common sense. Thumbs down on this video 👎🏼

Good ideas but terrible presentation. Such strange wording and phrasing. Why not just relay the best method and leave out the personal commentary? Very strange

The tone of this video is awful. I have two very young children and I don't have any of the energy I had before I had them. All these suggestions make sense but they are not as easy for everyone as we all are experiencing different issues at different times in our lives. If I were rich I would have house cleaning staff and my clean house wouldn't mean I'm a more organized level headed person. I clicked on this video hoping for some tips not to hear things I already know told in the meanest way possible.
