American Sign Language is a language...she is translating it to English which is a different language...Therefore she is a translator.

@@user-zk6ko3kf1t No. She is an interpreter. She communicates the jist of what everyone is saying to everyone listening and preserves the integrity of the conversation as she does so. Do you know two languages? If so, you know verbatim translation is choppy, tricky, and not always necessary or preferred.
