When I went to holidays with my family, it took us 50 hours to reach our goal. What an odyssey that was...
In response to 12:15 100% we are enjoying it. Don't doubt yourselves and the content you keep putting out even for a second. For me I woke up at 4 am took a shower was about to head back to bead when I saw this. I couldn't resist and I knew it would be nostalgic because my parents used to take me and my siblings on road trips there from Massachusetts. 💕

i think Savannah’s a good mix of the stuff you’re looking for! it has a lot of the small town elements that Sam wants, but also all the stores that Monica likes are about 15 minutes from downtown. plus it’s big enough that nobody knows every single person in town. bonus points for it being only 3.5 hours away from Covington 😉. i’m sure wherever you end up will be a great place.

I think you guys are good representatives of what it means to be young and in love. I hope that you guys still feel the same about each other as life changes and get more complex with children etc., because that is the difficult part of relationships that a lot of people have been unable to master, but if anyone can navigate through life's challenging moments, then I think Sam and Monica can.

UK is far better to live in than anywhere in the US. Quality of life doesn't even compare.
I am from Florida but had moved to Pennsylvania and have made the drive many times from PA to FLA and it's a solid 18 hours (depending where you are going in Florida) so definitely more than 12 hours from NY!
Yeah it was about 20 hours to Savannah (with stops) so a little more to FL 😂

Your plans sound wonderful. I’m in the South Miami area Mon - Fri and later Fri - Sunday I’m in Boynton Beach FL. Guess what I’m trying to say is if your considering a new different place to reside at, relax, enjoy and don’t rush. I prefer the Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, away from Miami to avoid the congestion and huge traffic that south of Boca Raton, closer to Miami have. Thank you for sharing.

An alternative is once you get married, you can apply for a green card as your (future) wife is a US citizen. The green card should be ready within under a year, but in the meantime you can legally live in the US until the application is decided upon by USCIS.

Target, TJMaxx...is not big city. That is suberb stripmall layouts that are in almost every town in the US. Even small ones. Big city is subway systems and public transit where you do not need a car.

I love the southern US, lived in Raleigh for five years. But climate change is really going to wreak havoc on places that far south during our lifetimes. I moved north to Michigan for that reason. I think it's something to consider if you're trying to find a forever home.

Road trips can be exhausting. I just got back from one around Wales UK and have been sleeping constantly playing catchup.
NY to FLA IS a 12.5 hour drive,.....at 90MPHs.
St. Augustine is a neat town. I used to go there every year in my old job.

I completely feel Monica in liking buig cities. I really like the vibe (as a city boy). I'm glad my gf has no preference for either lol. With that said, I'm doing grad school in a town, and it ain't too bad. So I'd recommend a college town (it really skews in between small town and city).
