Good job to Geely. they are raising the bar quite high for this segment forcing everyone in the market to up their game by either putting better quality/design or put on a more competitive price for their own subcompact sedan offerings
MG started it with MG5. Everyone was forced to up their game ang Geely continued with it.
For the people concerned about the engine, this car is using a Mitsubishi Orion Engine, YES, it's using 4G15 l4 engine. GAC and other companies like Proton, Haval, Hyundai etc. have been using this engine from 1989 to present.
i've been saving for my dream car! i hope'd i could buy one after 2-3 years

Hi, may I know is it gt interior atmosphere lamp in 2022 Geely Emgrand Premium?
Its a great value car but I'm really curious about uphill driving for this car with passengers and loaded trunk.
It's a lancer engine, and we all know how lancer engine performs.
Hi sir, i have 2 questions which need your advise.
Which one has a more spacious back seat? Coolray or Emgrand? And also which one has more headroom?
They have the same seating capacity but the difference is Emgrand has much bigger space because it has 1,822 mm width while the Coolray has 1,795 mm width but in the end of the day they're both good cars.

Gonna butt in because you can't compare a sub-compact sedan to a sub-compact SUV that's a big difference because it's 2 different car type. For you to have that kind of question it's 2 cars with the same label so you should visit 1 of Geely's showroom so you can see for yourself so you can compare it with your height and size
@@hunchojackrom8301 Actually i am from Malaysia. Locally here Proton is rebadging Geely models. Emgrand is yet to launch on end of next year. Whereas Coolray has been launched as Proton X50. That's why i don't get to test Emgrand yet.
@@BBoyZaii get the coolray, I know the emgrand's interior might be enticing, but it doesn't have much horsepower (for me at least).
One perk though is the fact that its engine is NA which on paper, is more reliable than the turbo one in Coolray, albeit, makes lower horsepower and torque

Those Chao Yang tires are really noisy because of budget constraints. But it’s probably fine for most people. Maybe. Don’t know.
"Most of the controls of the car is on the infotainment system" now that's really a bummer considering if you like to switch to different driving modes you have to fiddle on the touchscreen which in fact will draw your attention away from the road.
Top prio will always be safety, we totally agree on that. What we can suggest is that settings must be done prio driving to work with the system that the manufacturer created.
@@AutomartPh well in other features that would be ok, but settings to different driving modes (normal or sports/power mode) is not. This is very important since we have to set different modes in the road like when you need to overtake you need to have power and switch back, so on and so forth.
Hi, is the ground clearance only at 122mm? Isn't that too low and hindi ba siya sasayad kapag puno ang seats?

@@KyleLiongCars hi kyle, i saw a comment from automart that ground clearance is 122mm and also in Geely’s official brochure it’s 122mm. What is the real ground clearance of Geely Emgrand? When you saw the car did you feel that the ground clearance is lower than a brio (137mm)??
You may also check MG5 alpha and make a comparo with this emgrand.

There are no official spec sheets ng ground clearance ng Geely as of now. As for the parts, the dealers will be the best source.

Why glorify Chinese cars with unproven engine reliability?
Engine of the Emgrand Sedan is based on a Mitsubishi engine so its reliable
Japanese and european cars are partnering up with chinese car companies. If you dont feel like buying it, then dont, its easy. But if you buy a japanese or a euro car, dont expect that there is zero china manufactured part on it. You'll be fooling yourself.
