I have one of these and it’s great for real time alerts, but due to lack of ONVIF support, it can’t really be used for security. It compliments a hardwired camera system, and I love the way it can track subjects. So I’d say it compliments a system, but can’t replace one. I also like the app it seems relatively intuitive and well thought out.
9:06 Call me a wanker but putting your camera upside down (even if you are only measuring db's) while you cant fix this in-app (turn 180 degrees) makes it confusing...

Can camera connect to home base without wifi?
Yes it connects directly to the Homebase setup if you’re not using it standalone.
