Tour of The Alps: A summer roadtrip through the mountains

Highlights from a summer roadtrip through the Alps
Day 1
Our flight from Helsinki in Finland took us to Munich, Germany where we picked up our motorhome. From there the trip really started, ending the day just outside Hallstatt, Austria
Day 2
Starting the day at the lake in Hallstatt with breakfast and a swim before the journey moved on to Lake Bled, Slovenia then ending the day in Kranjska Gora
Day 3
Much of the day was spent in Kranjska Gora and then the journey continued into Italy where we spent the night in the Dolomites
Day 4
The day started by hiking the Tre Cime Di Lavaredo trail before continuing our journey to Lake Garda and a campsite near Sirmione
Day 5
We took a break from driving the motorhome to spend the whole day at Lake Garda
Day 6
We’re back on the move travelling to our next campsite near Zermatt in Switzerland
Day 7
We got the train into Zermatt and spent some time hiking in the mountains to see The Matterhorn
Day 8
Leaving Zermatt, we now travelled to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc in France and spent some time in the afternoon hiking in the mountains
Day 9
This was a long travel day, leaving France, driving all the way through Switzerland, briefly crossing into Austria before settling overnight just outside Munich
Day 10
We returned the motorhome in the morning before catching our flight from Munich back home to Helsinki
