  • Yatsohi is a Fulani name meaning the daughter of old parents. This collection is the offspring of two ancient traditions. The Fulani legacy of weaving dried raffia palm leaves and the age-old art of dyeing in Hausa culture.
For centuries, Fulani artisans have woven raffia to create different functional pieces to decorate their homes and bodies. While the Hausa have been known for their culture of dyeing fabrics for over 500 years. Both traditions in their cultures showcasing each peoples’ unique beauty.
The Yatsohi collection was created by a group of skilled Fulani and Hausa artisans, working tirelessly to offer you a beautiful piece of their heritage. Each piece from this collection is a piece of history, legacy and most of all, is a representation of our identity as Africans.
