Shun Hing, Lap-Chee or Chi Sun for 24 year old from UK? Which one should I pick? I want to be social house and party and meet lots of people… stuck which one to choose 🙏 please help, what’s your opinion? Ty 🙂
Hello Wenny! After i watch your video i feel that was very great but i have alot questions in my minds so i want to ask you something.. umm if you at univ how you communicate with others? as we knows in the HongKong people majority use 粵語(cantonese) so do you use Cantonese language or mand or something else? how about the lecturer? thankyou!
Hello there, Kevin! First of all, thank you for watching! 😊 As for your question, rest assured because the medium of instruction of HKU is English so all the lectures and group discussions will be conducted in English (except for foreign language classes HAHA). 🤪 However, if you wish to learn or improve your Chinese, you can definitely enrol in the free elective courses offered by the university too! Should you have any other questions, please feel free to drop as many as you like here: forms.gle/fvFSerJzfYK1BWjd7 (just created one) or you can also comment, whichever you prefer! hehe was thinking about making a Q&A vid on HKU.
I really hope to get some sort of full scholarship from HKU, just like my last year predecessors. They got 4 years free accommodation and tuition fee for 4 years straight!.
what do you think about city u? City U accept me with a conditional offer that i apparently met, and infact I was enlisted as one of the 100% tuition receiver!! I did not know whether I could be accepted to HKU, so I was considering to accept the offer first, while waiting for the announcement of NTU and HKU. What do you think?
Hey there fellow Indo! Thank you so much for watching! 🥰 That’s wonderful, really hope that you will hear some good news soon!! Yesss I do think that HKU is quite generous in offering scholarships to international students so it is totally doable, just try to maintain good grades at school hehe
Congratss for the City U offer btw!! Yes I would def suggest to secure the offer first while waiting for other application results as they are offering you 100%. I think City U is quite reputable too in Hong Kong though I would prefer it more if you choose HKU HAHAHA. Anyways, best wishes and good luck for your applications. Hope to see you here! 😆
@@wennysuryautama Thanks for the respond :) you made my day. Anyway, are you planning to work in hong kong after graduation? What I heard is that hong kong was quite generous with the visa and job vacancies.
Hi Wenny. Your video is so cool!!! I am Abdul from Jakarta. Today, I just got an offer for my master's study from HKU majoring Information Technology in Education. I am just curious about your study during this pandemic situation. Is it possible to study offline on campus?
Hello Abdul!! Thank you for your kind words! Salam kenal and congrats yaaa hehe. Yepp currently it’s in hybrid mode so you can choose to either attend classes face to face or through zoom (it differs from one prof to another tho!) ☺️
Hi kak, salam kenal ya. Thanks for this wonderful video ya! I'm currently considering HKU masters for my postgraduate, and surely this would boost my motivation! May I know if I can PM you for questions regarding HKU and living in HK as student?
Hello Felicia!
Iya nih! Salam kenal hehe. Belom tau nih, pengennya sih kerja minimal 3 tahun di sini biar dapet Hong Kong PR tapi nanti lihat saja bagaimana jadinya. Thank you, kamu semangat juga yaaaa btw thanks for watching! 😆
Hey there! It’s currently on hybrid mode. Some classes are full online while for other classes, students can choose to either attend f2f or through zoom! ☺️
Hey I just saw this, it is totally fine! I barely know any Mandarin too. Teaching will be done all in English. You can reg for Mandarin/Cantonese elective classes, they are pretty useful!
Hello, regarding ur study at HKU, do you received a full scholarship? Is it hard to get the full scholarship (I mean, do you have to win like something big nationally or internationally?) IM SORRYY FOR THE QUESTIONS BUT I REALLY DO HOPE TO GET ACCEPTED TO HKU '22!!!!

Ah yeah right! slipped my mind. Will do next time! hehe thank you so much for the input Thomas! 🤩
You should do a challenge to eat in a week with a standard student's budget.
Great idea! Will attempt to do it once I am less busy. Thank you!😆
