I am so impressed that you do an ultrasound in the field! I have to say that all of the vets that we've had out for mild to severe colics have never done an ultrasound in the field. To be honest, it seems that in general vets seem reluctant to use ultrasound in the field. I have no idea why that is, but that's been our experience.
Hi Daniel! Veterinarians have to commit significant time and money to learning how to use an ultrasound effectively, and they also have to spend a lot of money to buy one. This doesn't make sense for every doctor out there. For our practice, it's a great resource, so we've invested in it, but I wouldn't think poorly of any veterinarian who chooses not to.
The horse in the back yawning and chilling bc he’s happy and well cared for!

I'm to be a vet some years down the road. There's lots of useful information in here. Thanks!
Good info on equine colic
Hi very thanks for information what is dose of injection Bus Copán
dosing depends on the size of the horse, but we generally use 2-4cc.
Great
Wondering if you have ever heard of giving coffee to a horse with colic?
Would definitely pass on this! We like to stick to proven medical treatments.
