Engine REX 30 we use for both trike versions, in solo trike in 15 kw adjustnent and in tandem 20 kW .Practical training is still posible (for season2015) on producer place.
How long can you fly with the electric power at level cruise? I know this has to cost a small fortune, but maybe its worth it without having to have a hangar and pay 20 an hour for gas
Hi, Beautiful machine and flies like an angel:) I fly with an Rx2/Icaro pit trike 12kw with 45kph and usual level flight 4,5-5kwh power. I love low and slow:) Can I ask these datas on Your bird? Spd /kwh/ flighttime..... Happy flights and smooth landings! P.
How much kW was the previous engine ? There is no scholing in Belgium for EGO trike with ATOS wing. Also no 'legal framework' and insurance could be a problem. Is my only option to learn it in Germany ?
DirkDucat Properly faired as they are, and at the speeds they fly, landing gear drag is minimal. Certainly not worth the weight penalty or complexity to make a bulletproof system...
I agree. But it would look so nice. The shape of the fuselage is a piece of art. Engineers of Boeing always say : it can not fly good if it isn't nice, it must look good.
I apologize if my reply came across as rude. (After reading it again, it certainly appears so.) Having been an auto mechanic in the past & currently flying RC models powered by both fuel engines & electric motors, I'm no doubt way too critical of word usage when it comes to those terms. Yours is indeed a beautiful machine! Something to be proud of. Maybe some day...
