I really love this song’s lyrics when they say “this is my party, i can cry when i want to” instead of saying “don’t cry, be strong” or “pretend like you don’t care” so that we can feel okay to be not okay🤍 this is whole different song from others. These girls are all JAPANESE. I just wanna put it out there because so many comments still calling them Korean. They have nothing to do with YG, despite the rumor. They are under AVEX, which is a big Japanese music label that has been the center of J-pop industry, and produced artists like Ayumi Hamasaki. Another piece of info to understand J-pop: J-pop didn’t really needed to export abroad like K-pop cuz the domestic market was big enough to profit, meaning their music style has only followed domestic trends (which led to some creative music like Perfume and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu). The problem is big labels like Avex didn’t even allow their MVs to be played by other countries by limiting license etc.. BUT with XG they decided to finally open to the world.
Yall should react to The final countdown by &AUDITION. For some information the song is a signal song for the show they are going to have, the first episode comes out July 9. The show is like a documentary/survival show (we think). The group already has 4 official members that have been confirmed since January 1 2021, so the show is to find the rest of their members through the 11 trainees.
they are never labeled as kpop, it’s more like jpop. But they prefer not to say jpop, cuz it’s not a genre. You don’t call Justin Bieber Canadian pop right?
