the best backyard engineers can see how things work in their heads. They also figure out what to do with what they have on hand. It's always great to see how you guys problem solve. I've had the pleasure of knowing a couple of gentlemen with 8th grade educations that could fab absolutely anything. One dude made a band saw out of a sewing machine and a couple of bicycle wheels that had better tolerances than a multi-thousand dollar one at an engineering school.
This video was so satisfying to see the pot county legend fabricate all this linkage and have it work flawlessly!! You are a true master of the Fab craft!! 👋
As usual, great ideas & work. I might have added a small, greaseable flange bearing where the transverse rod went through the frame rail, perhaps thread the down rod like a turnbuckle to provide some adjustability
Looking great! Keep it up, you are an encouragement for me to keep going and pushing myself and my skills. Love to see you practicing on the TIG too. I am not a tigger bit probably will be some day.
I have to make myself use it! I’d like someone who’s really good with one to spend a day or two with me I could probably get rid of most my frustrations with one with someone who knows better then me.
Nice, it'll be interesting to see if it locals in every gear, I thought you would have used a cable to get around the dual exhaust, but this will work also
nice job on the linkage. As far as the foot goes.... speaking from personal experience, nothing ever seems stupid until about 3 seconds after its too late.

I know a couple fellas like that.

Another step closer to first drive! Good job man.
Getting there slowly but surely.

You did some good head scratching but clean and tidy 👍
That's friggin' ingenious! Thanks for sharing. Keep up the great work.
I am amazed at your fabrication skills and knowledge my friend. Well done!
Awesome problem solving, definitely like the way you pushed it outside the frame rail.
Thank you professor Puddin for sharing your wisdom
You do quality work. Nice job figuring that out.
Thanks!
You always have great ideals and do really neat work. First class channel.
Thank you!
that linkage is clean,love it
Great job there, mister pudding❤❤❤❤❤
Just great to be able to look at them again
👊🏻👊🏻
Awesome shifter linkage
Building the lever with adjustment is brilliant. I was wondering how you were going to calculate the throw.
Smart dude...I'm really learning alot from you my friend..
That turned out good. Another great video 👍👍👍🇨🇱
👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
This is amazing puddin!

That was amazing you have great problem solving skills.
Thank you!
as always puddin man you slayed it!
Man it's coming along fast great work
I'm downloading all these task in my head. Just hope I don't short circuit.
Don’t short circuit, you may lose it all ! Lol

Pretty innovative idea man
Well done sir and thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Looking good. Nice creeper too. Just don't trip over it and break your other foot.

Mechanical MacGyver isn’t the word !!! Where do you come up with these ideas ??? Keep up good work LOOKS AMAZING
Just wing it lol
Nice, it'll be interesting to see if it locals in every gear, I thought you would have used a cable to get around the dual exhaust, but this will work also
I’m happy with it. Should leave plenty of room
Will there be any problem when the motor/trans flex’s or rotates? I like the design.
There’s some play in the coupler and in the shaft where it passes through the frame. I don’t think it will be a issues.
Cool. Always enjoy your uploads. Thanks for making good content, brother.
Thanks for watching!
Do I clip mine or channel the travelall on to the 02 Tahoe make a 3in longer in frame ???
That’s up to you and your resources? I
Nice job , hope the foot is on the mend .
It’s doing good👍🏻
I'm about to do the same on my shoebox! thanks for a great video
Thanks for always watching!

Haha it’s not my first time in one lol
Another good one
I had problems with my linkage over time coming loose.on my 4wd manual shift think im going to make a hitch pin.
Or use 1/4-24 and thread lock
Your a mad scientist
You came along way with the channel now its almost natural to talk to the camera
Very smart guy!
👍👍. Another great solution. 👍👍
Thanks Joel!
Nice job figuring this thing out. Does the rod going thru the frame pass thru a tube/sleeve?
Yes it does
Puddin rocks!!!
Nice work
Thank you!
why didnt you try a lokar column cable shift linkage
Because I have $4 into this and I like building stuff lol
You are the International Whisperer... or the Mechanical MacGyver !!
The wing it king lol
WOW
👊🏻
What size heim joints were those?
Threads were 1/4-28 and for a 1/4” bolt

What happened to your foot
Fractured it doing a jump challenge with my girls lol
What happened to the leg 🦵
Here in 2022
That boot tho
Not my first time In one lol.
👍👉🇺🇸👈
Making my own 3 speed 'on the tree' linkage. I am reproducing the original links, less skills and engineering is nescessary.
Nice
