The rudest nationalities that I experienced were: Chinese, French, and most African countries, especially Nigerians. The kindest were: Russians, Australians, Indonesians, Vietnamese, Germans, and Europeans (westernized countries).

Then another time in Mombasa, on that ferry I wanted to take some footage. A police officer approached a driver I was with that I can take a few pics but no film. Now, to Kenyas defense, there had been a lot of terror attacks in public places and I think that's what motivated that rule to avoid random people taking videos. But those are facts...mate

I’m British born, of Black Jamaican parents. When I hear my Black American cousins saying how much safer and more relaxed they feel in Europe, I simply shake my head. Yes, they are definitely safer in the UK, and perhaps Holland, and the Scandinavian countries; but outside of those places, no way. The southern and eastern parts of continental Europe are particularly dangerous for Black people. Personally, you would have to pay me a bazillion £s to set foot on any part of continental Europe.

The problem is not so much that the traveller is black, but that the traveller felt it is absolutely fine to video the people without their consent; that is called, _invasion of privacy._ Had the traveller asked permission to video the people and the surroundings, he might not have had the experience he did. We all, must respect the country and culture in which we find ourselves. While a lot of American culture has been exported, American laws have not.

I'm a black man and I've been to Croatia twice, to the city of Rijeka. never had a problem AT ALL...I went to the night clubs, the mall and went sight seeing all the way to Venice Italy. I ate at the restaurants, the bars and I spoke with the locals daily. Even went to Austria and Slovenia. Never ever had a problem of any sort. Btw, I had the exact same experience when I visited Poland. Never had any problems at all. As a matter of fact, once they realize that you're from America they really open up to you. I guess I got lucky.

Yes, they are definitely safer in the UK, and perhaps Holland, and the Scandinavian countries; but outside of those places, no way. The southern and eastern parts of continental Europe are particularly dangerous for Black people. Personally, you would have to pay me a bazillion £s to set foot on any part of continental Europe.

The problem is not so much that the traveller is black, but that the traveller felt it is absolutely fine to video the people without their consent; that is called, _invasion of privacy._ Had the traveller asked permission to video the people and the surroundings, he might not have had the experience he did. We all, must respect the country and culture in which we find ourselves. While a lot of American culture has been exported, American laws have not.
That's probably more the truth than otherwise. I've travelled to several countries and have never snapped or filmed anyone - or anything - without surety of it being fine. Customs are different everywhere. Be mindful and respectful.

This is so deceptive. What happened before the clip? Was he videotaping people who didn’t want to be videotaped? We have to stop thinking that you can all around the world into different countries and cultures and behave however you feel. Different countries have different social norms. In Japan it is considered extremely rude to talk loudly on your cellphone on the train or public spaces for instance. It is very disingenuous to engage in respectively bad behavior and then call people names for not accepting it. I’ve seen people threatened for videotaping people in Nigeria. How about telling people who can’t respect other cultures to just stay home instead of all black people.

Now this entitled brother thought he was still in America and this being a public place some amendments give him the right to film anyone against their own will. The locals told him to please stop recording them, the brother drew the race card...and thought he had some material for tiktok. That's the story in a nutshell 😂

I'm a black man and I've been to Croatia twice, to the city of Rijeka. never had a problem AT ALL...I went to the night clubs, the mall and went sight seeing all the way to Venice Italy. I ate at the restaurants, the bars and I spoke with the locals daily. Even went to Austria and Slovenia. Never ever had a problem of any sort.
Btw, I had the exact same experience when I visited Poland. Never had any problems at all. As a matter of fact, once they realize that you're from America they really open up to you. I guess I got lucky.
