Good to see you out. The Gravel is nodoubt for the Grouse as they will take in gravel to hold in their crops to help grind down large seeds. You're pk up there until what us Hunters know as the Glorious 12th.. 12th of August. Glad to see you guys back out we could be locked down until mid June. So November until June it is for us here in Germany
I do have a giggle watching you and EWM. You've both kept me entertained through lockdown and given me the appetite to venture away from the campsites and try a wild camp! Tonight it's the garden but hopefully soon it'll be somewhere more scenic! Great video tho 👍
Thanks Daniel, i bet you have some cracking spots in Florida to get out and about. Ive been to Miami and Orlando... proper touristy... but i bet the further north you get towards GA there are some awesome adventures waiting! 🤜🤛
The Surroundings perfect place to Camp and the place phenomenal views of rockformation and i think its cold there they wearing jacket and they need to climb twice in order to there i half way to much tired and full of adventure
Like I told Dan, we use hiking poles to fight off the Grizzly Bears Scott when in the Rocky Mountains. Great vid and wonderful to see you boys back out.👍👍👍
@@OscarOutdoors22 .. when hiking it will help with a line of defence, maybe not bears lol. Poles give you a sense of good balance, especially climbing upwards 👍
Nice one Scott, it's nice to get out again eh, I'm also trying to shift some lockdown weight 🤣🤣 the last 3 weeks have been quite big ones for me, so just something a little more local this weekend, then back on the hills, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Awesome weather for it Scott 👍🏻 Great spot you got there mate glad you had a good time nice set up.. I have had the UL80 for a while now it is comfy.. Great vid mate now im gonna watch dans 😂👍🏻👌🏻
That was a nice video! I got a laugh out of #Tight Yorkshire Man Save the nice outdoor cooking for the woods. I guess you’re looking forward to hammock camping in the woods but a tent looks comfortable too Take care until your next video ❤️ 🇨🇦
Thank you Sue, yeah i missed my Hammock but knew it was impractical on this one. Hopefully something mid week if i have time. Thanks for the support Sue, as always
loved the wild camp pall... sorry i could not be there i had to do lady bower bottom dam to the top fingers only twelve miles but it was first time out on a good walk "then back" on a two night wild camp. ill see you soon pall.
The cat litter tray is a grit box for the grouse. Season is 12th August or the glorious 12th as its called usually runs or tapers off towards the end of october.... Cracking vid, Ilkley/Bingley moor used to be my ole stomping ground, used to live on the edge of it. Did you visit the 12 apostles up there?
I was up there the other week and it was horrendous, those red grouse were just sitting there like a pet. They've definitely picked a good day to camp...
@@scottcarnegie6301 the red shank that was there are very intimidating, the red grouse was young that I see, only the adults took flight, I had Canadian geese in full flight, doing there bit the other night gave me a three hour window to sleep before they started there shenanigans again, then a third party got involved and all hell broke loose... if parker and savile have there way everything getting shot in season
Hiya mate, cracking video and location, and glad you can get out and about in England now - still another 8 days in Scotland mate, so am chomping at the bit to get out. Can't lie, I'm not convinced about your tent, looks a little too flimsy to me - be okay if you are guaranteed the good weather, but having been in a leaking, single skin tent and suffering, I would always carry the extra weight if I am honest. That said, looking online, it is good value and I like the fact you can use your trek poles as poles, and it is easy and quick to pitch. Thanks for posting, and all the best mate. Nick
Thanks Nick, yeah im not sold on it totally. Think im in eame boat as you. I prefer my Ionosphere of im honest. But Packsize and weight were a factor here so this was ideal. Ideal to.use a hiking pole in situations just like this one. Although i did carry the Lomo pole too. They are based in Scotland too. Be sure to check them out some great gear at great prices
@@OscarOutdoors22 it's a tough one finding the right balance. If I take my Phoxx1 or My Bobcat, I have the weight and functionality, but lose space to store stuff out of rain/ stand up to pull my kecks on. I do like the pack size, dare say the weight is nothing really but it's just the single skin which gives me the heebie-jeebies. If we could guarantee the weather I would have one lol. Will check out Lomo mate and have a look - all the best pal
That was funny ending, glad you both got out. I might do a solo through the week myself on the back of beyond as I've spotted some cool places on my long treks... No naked swimmers there then...

Awesome mate.. im a really warm sleeper and the mate had absorbed my heat and was acting like a radiator by morning. Think i was on a slope which didn't help it, but the mat and performance of it were great.
There is ample parking not really a designated car park. But lots of road side and lay-by parking. Thanks for the great compliment really appreciated. If your on socials PM me I'll give you a couple of tips on parking etc

I'd guess those plastic trays are something to do with the grouse shoots. Cracking views mate planning to get up out on the moors for a few nights myself. Feeling the lockdown weight too I feel your pain but now we can get out and work it off! I've had the Trekology mat for a while now, good but would recommend putting something under it to protect it. I use a very thin foam roll mat
Yeah apparently Grouse Grit... dont know why you'd need to Grit a Grouse though 🤣🤣 yeah glad to have done this one. Was nice to be out and about! Great views
