Thanks for the video. This will work fine for what you are doing. I like to do small projects too. I don't own trains but small hobbies yes. I literally just got this in today. Set it up in mere minutes. Two bolts to attach the knobs to, put in the blade, plug it in and off to cutting i was. It was that easy. I have a pine 2x2 board that was a snug fit under the head but it fit, and it cut pretty effortlessly. Took a few seconds was all. This was not as loud as I thought it would be by listening to other videos. The videos seem to capture more volume to me. Anyhow, It was a third of the noise level of my old Craftsman 10" table saw. Plus a 10th of the weight. The cut was actually pretty clean, wrap some tape around the cut line and it probably would do better! I went back and forth a lot on what to get, jigsaw...nope have two of those, scroll saw, nope have one, band saw, well yes i would like to get one of those but for another day.. This just seems to be a great all around saw to have around. Plus is super safe and easy for my teen to use too.
Unfortunately Rockwell's X2 version is the 'cheap'' version of the Bladerunner. They removed the variable speed control and replaced the rigid Tube support with a flimsy piece of sheet metal. They also failed to fix the biggest problem: The weird, non-standard, segmented miter slots.

thanks for the review. You need to turn off the music because it's too loud for when you speak. Thanks
Probably will work best for flooring
