This man is underrated for detail and understanding , good explanation and examples
He's one of the best 🙌
A great, useful guide.
Hi, thanks for sharing with us your helpful tips. I thinking of learning more about this cabinet fitting so that i can be able job for my self an earn a living out of it. i really do not know where or how to start ... Any help , thanks egah.
Very clear video. Thanks for this.
Glad you liked it 😊
fantastic video. very clear and informative.
Hi this is great advice. please could you put a video of making the bare units for the walls and stand alone units so that we all could have a go at making them for ourselves. thank you.
Thanks for the idea! We're also glad to hear that you liked the video! 😁
Excellent guide.
Glad it was helpful!
Check the units for square after assembly??....How is this possible when they wobble more than a jelly after assembly...
You could also build base units using raw materials, such as wood, bricks, blocks, etc., as I have done.
That sounds amazing 😊We bet they look great 🙌
@@bandq It's not finished yet but this is the bare bones of it... ua-cam.com/video/hpegbbxGwiU/v-deo.html
hi ok video? May i ask you what were the screw specs you used and is there a min gap between top of counter(base units) and the under side of the wall cabinets? Thanks in advance
Hi may you kindly list all the equipment to make kitchen unit?
What do you do if your wall behind the high cabinets is not straight like most old houses?
Screw all your cabs together with furniture screws front and back loose on the hangers, then tighten to wall use shims if needed.
It's not good when u have Professional people to fit in kitchen that cost more than the kitchen itself. I want to learn how to do it myself. Ty
Late reply, but that should never happen. They’re clearly overcharging you
@@CookieGTASa bit late but can confirm, my kitchen costs 4K, all fitters so far have quoted around 3.5k
Pay peanuts get monkeys, it'll end up costing you more in the long run when you pay the local handyman😊
@@chubbyBunny94Im a fitter myself and have never ever charged anyone over £2k (and that was for a huge kitchen + utility in a £2m house). The average should be around £1k-£1.5k. Are you sure you’re not using someone like Wrens recommended fitters? (Wren are a trash company). Any self employed fitter should be well under £2k for a kitchen of that price
Do the feet of the cabinets have to be tightly screwed down to the floor
no the units are bolted to the wall and their weight should sotp thme going anywhere
1 of my upper kitchen cabinets contains the cooker's extractor fan. If I remove the other upper kitchen cabinets around it, can I leave the one with the cooker extractor hood in place? Or will it fall off the wall (because it's no longer attached to other cabinets)? [el'sda2].
Hi 👋 If all the cabinet's are attached separately to the wall, you'll be able to leave the one which contains the extractor fan 😊
Thank u sir
😊
Please can you tell me what the old sink was and the new sink was in the video, the makes and models.
Hi, Gaynor! There isn't any sinks previewed in this video! Is this in relation to another video perhaps? 😊
What's the general measure from the floor to the top of the units?
870mm
What clearance above wall cabinets do you need to hang them on the brackets? I want to fit my wall cabinets as close to ceiling as possible. Thanks
Hi there, if fitting as high as possible you would need to leave a small gap (approx. 5 - 10mm) to allow clearance to guide the cabinet and wall hangers over the wall hanging plates fitted on the wall and then rest the cabinet onto them, then adjust tight to the wall and desired level etc. 😊
What size doors do the 930 mm corner Base units require also are they the same for the overhead corner units? Thanks
Hi there, for a standard 930mm base corner unit (not handleless) you need 2 x 30cm Highline doors and 1 x 5.9 x 5.9cm corner post.
For a standard 630mm wall corner unit (not handleless) you need 2 x 25cm highline doors and 1 x 5.9 x 5.9cm corner post.
This is all explained on pages 13 and 14 of the product and cabinet guide. Which can be found on the following link. I hope this helps! bit.ly/3jbggAn
@@bandq Thank you for getting back to me. Helps a lot
You are welcome 😊
When I knock on the wall what am I suppose to listen. How do I know if I can put anything on the wall
Hi, please see 1:15 😊
Hi. Im a self employed kitchen fitter in London and looking for extra work, where and what would you recommend me to do? Thanks in advance
Hi, Matteo 👋 We're taking applications for B&Q approved installers! Please see the following link for more info: bit.ly/3Gy2MFW 😊
Can you please do the following
1. stock what's on your website (900mm base units?)
2. Have you sales staff try to sell and assist people who want to spend money!
Good luck with using their website...
Do you not screw bottom of cabinets to wall too?
Hi there, we do recommend this in our instruction manuals 😊
Why do you not supply the raw plugs & screws to fix the cabinet to the wall in the box ??
This is due to everyone's walls being made up of different materials. It's best to get your own rawl plugs and screws fit for your walls. I hope this helps!
@@bandq I can understand that but it was so annoying - now have to go back to the shop.
Why are the shelf’s fixed together ?
The shelves are fixed together to create a stronger bond 😊
