Memorias Porteñas - Buque Lebu / Port Memories - Lebu Vessel

El buque Lebu fue una embarcación utilizada como cárcel flotante, la cual da cuenta de la complicidad civil en el golpe cívico militar de 1973 ya que pertenecía a la Cia. Sudamericana de vapores y fue cedido a la Armada de Chile para funcionar como centro de detención y tortura.
En este sitio de detención se aplicaron golpes, vejaciones sexuales, falsos fusilamientos por parte de la Armada de Chile.

The ship Lebu was a vessel used as a floating prison, which shows the civilian complicity in the 1973 military coup, since it belonged to the South American Steamship Company and was ceded to the Chilean Navy to function as a detention and torture center.
In this place of detention, beatings, sexual humiliation and false executions were carried out by the Chilean Navy.
