I'm so shocked this became my favorite game so quickly. I met some really cool people, too. Here's hoping the next game will get the love it deserves.
I miss this game so much. Such a unique and fun and experience with a really cool world of characters.
I've still been finding matches quickly, and tournaments are still firing. I think the game will be going on for another year or so!
@@aerialsnack yeah but I just find it very difficult to justify playing when they’ve basically already left the game for dead content wise, and now all the players left are probably the hardcore fans which would just kick my ass as a casual player who played off and on with friends.
@@patchthefat You know, most games so far have been released, then never updated. Just think of the game as now having been fully released. The lack of new things being added has let the game settle and get balanced. The community is about half and half of casual players and more serious players, and trust me, there are plenty of hardcore fans that get their butts kicked by casual players haha
I just hope Odyssey will become richer in resources in the future and give us a huge announcement that the game will be given more content updates. But I will still be striking and making videos just to promote my favorite game.
OS is a gem, I stopped playing for about 3 months after the announcement and came back in February, it's nice to see that there are still enough people interested in the game to play in peak hours even here in SA.
Hopefully the community can slowly build itself around the game overtime so more players trickle in, we hosted a coaching tournament here in SA that had around 8 teams of low ranking players, and I was pleasantly surprised by the reception it got!

Bruh seeing my team and I getting dunked on within the first 7 seconds really makes me miss this game for some reason.

As someone who played this game for hundreds of hours and tried to convince pretty much all of my friends to play it, I can say that three things made them give up the most. Bad matchmaking, cash prices(kind of) and overall competition with other games.
A lot of new players just find this game overwhelming to learn because half of the time you'll play against people much better than you, and since the coop vs ai mode is a joke, they only have pvp to learn the game. This is a big problem when you take into consideration how fast paced Omega Strikers is. I rarely experienced a tied match while playing this game because even a slight difference in experience between teams would make a world of difference in the end.
Also, oddy points are pretty expensive. I bought every single season pass because I love this game, but I would never buy a standalone skin. This matters more to odyssey, since it means less money to invest back into the game, but every big online multiplayer game has some kind of battle pass, so a lot of players have to choose if they want to invest their time and money in their favorite game or a kind of cool game they found online.
Odyssey had to actively fight to get players from other games, or omega strikers would became what it is today. A fun and unique game that only really appeals to a niche player base, and unfortunately, this happens to a LOT of new games(a youtuber called Skooch made a pretty good video about it, if anyone is interest)
300h dedicated to the game, for me it was the best game of 2023, but it's sad that they couldn't hit the mark to be a stable game as service

I find funny how fighting games can do like years of content with 1K players but most of others online games its almost impossible.

My gripe with the game is that the late game, everyone hits so hard that it becomes less about positioning and smart play and more about managing to hit a core that is always moving at 1000 miles a minute. I never played the beta but it sounds like it was better than awakenings.
The core moved waaaay faster on average in Beta. It's one of those things that you don't realize how crazy it was until having the current game to compare it to.
First time ever playing this game can’t even load into a match
Are you trying to do competitive, quick play, or normals? Quick play might take a few minutes to find a match. And for competitive, since there aren't a lot of rookie and bronze players, it will be difficult to find a match, but theoretically you should find one after 15 or so minutes since the search range should go up to the silver area. If you duo queue you'll probably find a match faster since the system will boost your MMR when you duo.
This game sucked me in so hard I had to acutally stop myself because it was runining my life, but I always thought this game will pop off and I can just return later.... man was I wrong

I loved this game... to where this is/was my 5th most played game. and that was in like... a month or two, i had like 100hrs each month. [Got the sonii nameplate and popega icon from watchin streams and the codes]
I did think i got burnt out on it, because i was legit playing it ALLL the time, however i still have great memories of this game, of ai.mi/vyce gaming, etc....
Even though i could play it now, i probably won't [all my time going to genshin], but i do think when/if i hear the server's are closed, i will pbe pretty sad... i would just hope they still let you have custom/private match's in some way.

Unfortunately it seems like the game is dead in my country. I'm unable to find a match even at lower elos. I can't really make videos on a game I'm unable to play.
