Make a shield. Also if you see the blood rake then just run for your life im pretty sure it can break blocks down up and everywhere. When it says run for your life it means it, I'd say to survive it either mine down and place the most durable block you have above you and keep going down till your safe. Option 2 is to build up till it cant get you and break the blocks under you to make sure it doesnt climb. Option 3 get a boat and go into the sea it cant get you there i think. Its faster and stronger than you when in blood form so just dont fight it and dont just go straight to running.
