I use one for fencing here in England and never had a problem in 5 years ,all my timber is softwood anyway .If it jams it's far easier to un-jam than my Paslode is .It is a bit heavier than my Paslode, but you get used to using it a different way.
Don't use any oil on it or if you do just a tiny bit of silicone grease on the slide rail .When working get into the habit of placing it down on a clean area, hang it on the fence and not say on the ground in the dirt, and just look after it ,don't work it to death chucking it about..I love the nail depth power gauge as so easy to use with a finger.
Battery life between charging is superb .I don't get the stink of fumes either now which is nice and don't suffer with "ran out of gas syndrome" on a job or "forgot my gas syndrome" or it's "too cold for the gas syndrome" I just get on a job with no worries and use it ..I have been over the moon with mine

I am a homeowner with a day job who does not do anything construction related for a living. That being said I am working on framing out my basement and Bought this ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt gun. I have done a few walls already, have probably shot a couple hundred nails through this thing and have yet to have a misfire. It works awesome, good depth on every nail if you have your compressor set right. My literal only complaint is that it is a bit heavy and my arm can get a little tired especially whrn I am nailing at odd angles. That being said I am super happy with it and would buy it again. Hoping the old girl allows me to get my whole basement finished out!

I had the dewault its fine into soft woods or soft ply or chip boards . Not good on hardwood ply i had to ply a truss roof up and over with 25mm hardwood ply for copper covering .the nails bend or jam i ended up getting my paslode out it did the job . I also found the driving bar that drives the nails in wears then nailing is hit and miss . Not good on oak .

What nails are suitable for floorboards using this Dewalt DCN692? Is Galvanised important? and is 50mm enough for 20mm floorboards?

Bought mine 9 months ago, it stopped firing the nails in fully, sent it away for repair and was asked to pay £122 to get it repaired!! Apparently the WD40 i sprayed into the tip has got inside and causing the fault. They also wanted to replace the 2 springs inside it, the guy from Dewalt said they are good for 30000 nails, my gun has fired less than 2000 nails, they are only guaranteed for 3 months, mine were out of warranty before i actually started using the gun, what a sack of shit it is. Never again will I buy Dewalt tools.
