Ken goes Cruising is a channel dedicated to sharing our experience of cruising. We have enjoyed 52 cruises since 1995. As well as sharing some factual and helpful information the idea behind this channel is to share our joy of cruising. My long suffering wife Lindsey is a very important part of our team. Since our retirement we had planned several bucket list cruises and so far we have only completed one of them. We have now started international cruising again and hope you will join us on our travels.
You can also find us on Instagram, Twitter & our Facebook page both entitled surprisingly

hi both Reference flags:-White & red stiped flag =(H) Hotel "Pilot on Board". Red, white & blue flag denoted the visiting port (Netherlands). White with a blue stripe is Fred Olsen's house flag. The white background flag with a blue fish & black orb I believe but not 100% sure is the commitment to respect the seas & wild life within. Always a pleasure watching your blogs!

Thanks so much John are you a ships officer or just a well educated traveller? I new the Netherlands flag but the others were a mystery.

@@KenGoesCruising Good evening Ken and trust that you are both well? Yes in my previous career I did serve within the merchant navy. We have tried many cruise lines but Fred Olsen is both Karen & my favourite cruise line because of the unique ports of call, meeting interesting crew & fellow passenger. Thank you both for your layback approach within your blogs including the varied subjects covered, stay safe.

Thank you for the video, both. Glad that you both enjoyed the trip. Bolette will be a definite contender for a northern lights cruise. The ship seems warm and friendly - I like that. This can be rare approach in a world of mass commercialisation! I agree that a summer cruise would also give a great opportunity to really get to know the ship. Vasco looks great - I've heard really good reports on that restaurant. Look forward to checking out future videos - enjoy all future cruise planning. x

Thanks so much for your kind words maybe we might even meet on a future cruise one day. If we do I look forward to it and having a chat maybe. We are getting more and more excited about our next cruise now, on Queen Anne for her maiden cruise. As everyone says the best cruise is the one your on. Thanks again Ken & Lindsey

“The glass is big enough but it isn’t full enough”. That made me laugh out loud. Glad to see you are happy to return to FO, I would like to have another go out of Liverpool which is my closest Port. Looking forward to future vlogs.

Thanks Teresa something a little bit different next week our full ship tour of Bolette. She really surprised us as a ship we are already looking at possible cruises for 2025 as we are fully booked for 2024.

This series makes me want to come across the pond and take a Fred Olsen cruise. Ive never actually went thru any locks before. That was interesting. This fall i will be going through the panal canal.

Hi Bill the Panama Canal is on our radar but at the moment we are staying fairly close to home as my Father is 93 and don't want to be too far away incase he needs me. Thanks for watching again Bill. Fred Olsen does sail worldwide you could even hitch a ride from the states on some of her longer itineraries
