Nice video! I myself upload a bunch of mexican songs on my channel. You can honestly play a lot of melodies on these little accordions. However, I had mine fixed up. I had Charlie Piper replace the original reed block with a wood block containing real Hohner reeds. I also replaced the bellows on 2 of my toy accordions myself. It’s been a process. Well, nice to meet you! - beethovenloco
I'm very happy to meet you and just took a quick look at your UA-cam channel. Looks like a lot of fun! I will pin your comment on this video so people who watch my video will also learn about your channel. Rich
I have wanted to buy an accordion for 5 years but cause of the price point had been putting it off, bought this toy accordion on a whim, broken, in a charity shop for £10 - replaced a few pieces and now it plays like a beauty, thank you for this tutorial, I. really excited to learn
picked up a blue one just like yours at a thrift store for a few bucks. very happy with the way it sounds. thanks for the straightforward guide. i couldn't figure out those base buttons for the life of me. cheers.
Thank you for the video. We found a Hero Mini today at a garage sale. It like new. We have never played one, so this video is awesome. The perfect toy for this 70 year old...lol I can't wait to learn a song.
Thank you for posting! It’s very helpful to know that the third bass button isn’t actually a note but instead to release the button quietly. I had opened it up inside cos I thought it was broken, good to know it isn’t!
Thank you for this quick and very straight foward tutorial! I've always wanted to play the accordian, and I've gotten this toy one on the cheap which I think is the next best thing
Seems the in out pattern for major scale is same as a harmonica.Going the final b and c on a c harmonica you switch breath direction on hole number seven. From blow then draw on holes 4 thru 6 to draw then blow on hole 7.Have to pick one up!
Here are the notes. I don't know the song but I searched it for you. I like the tune and may try it on piano. If I can play on piano, I may try it on toy accordion. 😊😊 E F# G E B E F# G E B E F# G F# E B F# E B B B A B C A C B A B G A G F# B F# G E B E F# G E B E F# G E B E F# G F# E B F# E B B B A B C A C B A B G A G F# B F# G E E F
Can u please show how to play Yoda by weird Al/Lola by the Kinks? It’s one of my favourite songs right now and I wanna get this accordion to play this and other weird Al songs and maybe other artists.
@@richdavis4007 thank you. I was gonna do that, does this toy come with a book to learn from? Do u have recommendations on where to find songs I can play on it?
Although I may call this a toy accordion, I think of it as an inexpensive musical instrument. Toys are played randomly and make noise. This makes music! You will find detailed instructions and instructions to play 8 songs if you buy this one: tinyurl.com/3vaf94sp 😊😊
Hi! I got one of these (no experience whatsoever using mysical instruments or reading music) and I've mastered Yankee Doodle and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. What I really want to do is learn how to play Moon River. Could you help me please?
All you need is simplified music with the melody notes. Here's a book that should work for you. www.ebay.com/itm/224505945990?hash=item344598df86:g:uO8AAOSwy0xg0QHY

@@richdavis4007 you’re awesome!! Thank you sir! Likewise and stay in touch. By the way, is that a Schylling brand toy accordion?
It doesn't have a brand name on it.😊

This instrument is very doable! Lots of fun. Rich
Excellent video. Thanks to your instructions, our family can play the accordion now. Simply educational & informative. Much appreciated!
Super!! I appreciate your comment very much! Rich Davis
The fact that this sounds almost exactly like a real accordion suprises me.
It sounds great and makes real music! Thanks. Rich
It is a real accordion!
😊
I just want to say that you inspired me to learn how to play accordion and now I know the intros of some songs, many thanks :)
That's super! Lot's of fun. Rich😊😊😊😊😊
Just got one for $4 and after fixing some of the reeds that fell out, it plays great!
Super!
Thanks for the tutorial! Can't wait to have a play around and see what I can make.
Have fun!😊😊😊😊
Thank you for the music, I just found a mini accordion at the good will for $1.50 in mint condition and its black ! It play sweet,,
At that price, I would have scooped it up, too! The one I'm using in this video cost a few dollars on eBay but shipping meant I paid almost $20.
The only useful video I've found!
Glad it helped! Rich
Thanks, Davis! You got to the point! Very helpful!
Thank you for this! I’ve had one for a long time and am now deciding I should learn how to play. The video helped a lot :)
This is not difficult but like all music takes a little time.😊😊
I saw this toy at a couple of places in the Smokey Mountains today. I really want to get one.
Lots of fun and very cool. I shop Amazon, eBay and Facebook Marketplace for these. If you are lucky, might find at a thrift store. Price, $5 to $25.
Thank you so much for the simple explanation. Off to find some music now
Super!! Rich

Yes. Similar. Fun little instruments. Rich 😊
They operate exactly on the same principle as a harmonica. I may get one, too.
@@lapdawg60 Yes. Great to learn to play them at the same time. Rich
Wow, that would be fun to try and play. I never tried a real or a toy accordion. :)
I'm thinking the toy accordion is probably best for adults! Good music can be made on this. I expect to play this more. Rich
Very helpful thank you
Super!
Cooool! I have one of those! I shall have to check this out well when I have time!
These are fun little musical instruments. Thanks! Rich
I remember having one of those as a kid👍
Cool little instrument!

Can u please show how to play Yoda by weird Al/Lola by the Kinks? It’s one of my favourite songs right now and I wanna get this accordion to play this and other weird Al songs and maybe other artists.
I'd say, learn how to play and sing simple songs first. Then, look up the chords to this Yoda and you'll know what to do from there.

Awesome! Where do you recommend looking for the "music sheet" you showed in the video?
I typed and printed this up myself. Rich😊😊😊
One of those music sheets came with my Hohner kids accordion!

What other instruments do you know?
I play ukulele and piano every day. I have a Woodi whistle, several kalimbas, recorders . . . Ukulele, piano, singing and songwriting are what I'm serious about.😊😊😊😊😊
I have the same one but in blue! Sadly it's a bit too out of tune to be played properly haha. Still fun to try though!
You may find these for cheap on eBay!
What about the other buttons?
Those weren't the subject of this video. I should make another video on the three buttons, if I haven't already done so. Thanks! Rich
you look very familiar, like a vender who sold me a toy accordion.

Just got a 7 key accordion. 🪗
