Alien Crush is still my favorite pinball game of all time. Playing that game in the dark when it first came out at my friends house was just so amazing as a kid. I love the Turbo soundchip. It's so spooky and mysterious sounding. It gave all the games such a vibe.

Yup agreed it's my favorite soundchip of all the retro systems easily.

AC showed every graphic and sound advantage the Turbo had over Genesis but too bad it was about the ONLY game that did that

You need to make The BEST of the TurboGrafx-16 Part 3 with R-Type, New Adventure Island, and Galaga 90.

Magical Chase doesn't get mentioned alot because loose, CIC, or CIB is thousands of dollars😅

Great game! Bought one at Toys R Us at a massive video game sale in the mid 90's for 99 cents along with every other turbo game I could get my hands on. The value of this game is insane.

I don't really care for shooters despite having several, though Cyber Core is my favorite shmup on the console....yes I have LoT & GoT but Cyber Core with its bosses, music and being a vertical scroller will always be top dog for me.
Devil's Crush is definitely one of my top faves and is the one I play and replay the most. Literally at least once a week or two.
Sometimes I turn it on just to listen to the music.

Great video! Cyber core was a nice surprise, i didn't have high expectations when i first played it but the game surprised me for how good it looks and plays. Magical chase is definitely the best on this list.

Yup same. Cyber core doesn't make an amazing first impression but it'll win you over.

Nice video on a great subject! The Turbo had some of my favorite moments in classic gaming- and it's just so hard to appreciate today just how advanced so much of even their launch library was to NES players when it came out.

Definitely. Also check out Jaki Crush on the super famicom if you can. Basically a third entry in the series.

Blazing Lasers It's probably my favorite shooter of all time and devil's crush and alien crush are definitely the best pinball video games I've ever played. There's a super famicom crush game called Jaki Crush that is pretty dang good as well.

Military Madness struck the perfect level of involvement for me as a kid. I still really enjoy the game and consider it my favorite of the system. My dad, and therefor my brother and I, loved Alien and Devil's Crush! You're spot on with DC being a perfect game. I consider myself extremely lucky to have played these when they were new. Most kids I knew had no idea what TG-16 or any of these games were. Props to my dad for buying us cool shit, great memories!

Magical Chase sounds (and looks) amazing. Shame it wasn't released for the Wii Virtual Console or the TurboGrafx Mini, leaving it doubtful that I'll ever play it.
I love Blazing Lazers. It's always good for a short romp. It's a shame that the last level is so insanely difficult, but save state abuse via the TurboGrafx Mini allowed me to finally see the whole thing. And like many shmups of the era, you don't need to beat it to enjoy it.
I like the look of Alien Crush and Military Madness but haven't had the chance to properly dig into them yet, just a few quarters dropped on Alien Crush.

The PC Engine was home to 3 Bomberman games, the Wii VC is how I have Bomberman 93 and Bomberman 94 (as well as Ninja Spirit and R-Type, and all 3 Bonk games). First one is pretty decent as well, shame it was never put on the Wii, along with 93 and 94, would've been a great trilogy.
I have a few CD games, but no console, Super Darius (great port), Rainbow Islands (awesome port), Gradius II (awesome port), and of course, the oddball of the 4, Tokimeki Memorial (it has a couple hidden games inside). Of course TM is impossible to play without knowing the Japanese language, but damn is it a beautiful game, the spritework is phenomenal.

    • @Johnnygrafx
      @Johnnygrafx  11 місяців тому +1

      I haven't played TM I don't think. I'll check it out!

Awesome video and really like your choices, even if I wouldn't necessarily pick the same games. That's the fun of videos like this: you get to see what other peoples' favourites are. BTW, you can get Devil's Crush and Alien Crush soundtracks on vinyl - on one LP. I picked it up myself and it's awesome. You even get the Star Soldier soundtrack as a bonus on the B-side. On a side note: I used to be in a band that only played horror movie soundtracks. I would have loved to have brought in Devil's Crush to the band. lol

@@Johnnygrafx So many awesome PCE games. I sold my N64 collection and spent almost all of it on PC Engine and Turbografx games. Best decision I could have made. Now I own almost all the ones I want. Just a few more to go.
