I really appreciate people preserving and showcasing family-run agriculture. 🥰 Lack of adequate funding for family-run farms is a big problem here in Estonia despite EU subsidies. Quite often people say that it is not cost effective to run a family-run business here. I really hope it gets better soon all over the world economy! Hope you are doing well through the COVID-19 crisis.

Your sheep dogs are impressive! The other sheep farmer I watch has all of her sheep in a barn 100% of the time. It’s quite interesting to see how your dogs work together and make your life easier.
I am a big Sandi fan here!! Hoping to try and be as successful as her one day. It's good because we have two totally different systems. I'm hoping to get over and shear her sheep next year if I we can travel again!

I loved this video. The movement of sheep with good dogs is mesmerizing! We have 15 acres and intensive graze with daily moves. Our sheep are used to being moved when we call them. Not as beautiful as using dogs but it works.
Such a relaxing video, it's nice to see the area where you live, and it's a beautiful sentiment to have your Dad keeping an eye on the sheep for you. Make sure to drone again if/when you get some snow.
I had the feeling one of them ewes would hit the drink. The drone footage from above was great watching all the sheep move around. Your dogs do such a good job. I haven’t had a good sheep dog now for 11 years, I put him down when he was 16 years old. He did good, cows and sheep, a little slow at times but a I learned to deal with it. I’ve got two females that may make good sheep dogs, just need the time, to train them. Cammy, do you or other there over seed for winter grass? We feed a lot of hay here in winter. We can also make large amounts of hay too. This year for winter cover I have rye, oats and red clover. I have to feed hay until it comes in. If not the ewes will graze it flat.
Thanks DC, I'm not an expert on grass land management but I know a lot of buys use turnips and other forage crops to winter sheep on. I don't have that luxury with paying so much for rents.
Great video as always, I live in West of Ireland 🇮🇪..I'm new to sheep on our farm but I'm enjoying it..I like the way you keep different breeds,I have texel and Rouge here..give Meg a pat on the head form me..A good dog is worth 10 men

I’ve actually been right onto it this year and it’s been not too bad. Just went through my mules and jagged a couple for foot rot. All through formalin. Been so bloody wet u can’t avoid it!

I look forward to this time of year because the ryegrass is up and the clover is back, the ewes love it! But then I think it was over 22 degrees C here today. I'll start lambing in a month. Another excellent vid!
@@TheSheepGame It won't stay that warm. We are supposed to have freezing weather in a few days. But that is why we lamb now. We used to lamb in spring, but the summers are so hot and humid that the lambs would only survive, not grow for two or three months. All the best!

Huge difference with him when back in the wee school at Barrhill. Money actually not much better on the lorries and away from home for a week or 2 at a time. Maybe win the lottery and buy a nice farm 🤣

Highlight of my week since found your vlogs! and your biggest fan is still my two year old, everyone laughs when they see her, she sits for ages just watching one video after another in a tranch. Well my grandfather was Scottish so I love the scenery and the accent 😉 but its to watch a different type of lifestyle too. I also watch the Hoof GP, Tom Pemberton and Sandi Brock as well. I watch all 3 of those other channels. Each one has its own flavor for sure. The one thing those 3 and The Sheep Game have in common is the human behind the camera. Cammy certainly has that "IT" factor. He is likable, down to Earth, Cheeky, and yet humble too. Those are the characteristics required for success. I am excited to watch Cammy as he climbs to the top of this Sheep Game! (And Sarah, I do not farm at all either. I am 23% Scottish by DNA... so Cammy has me mesmerized as I learn about my ancestor's culture and Scottish heritage... just like you eh?)

Hi! Thanks for the comment. So this is very common in the Uk and is an old fashioned drainage system. The idea being the water runs along the base of the hollow section and down to the stream😁

Hi Candice. I have a video called Making hay while the sun shines. But no we don’t feed them hay here. Only the big mule ewes when they go in the shed for lambing.

Montenegro that’s awesome! Eh i didn’t do anything different with camera but i colour graded the video when eDiting which improved the look i think. It was also a bright sunny day which we don’t get much of in Scotland 😁

Hi! Thanks for the comment. So this is very common in the Uk and is an old fashioned drainage system. The idea being the water runs along the base of the hollow section and down to the stream😁

When I lived in Scotland I applied for assistant farm manager job.
Mr stevoson offered me the post.
But my wife is from Glasgow she took cold feet.

Is the drone any use in wind, I always wondered would it be any use up the mountain to save some of the walking
Aye it does well in wind but it drains the battery rapid because it has to work so hard to keep itself in postion. On a clear day u get 20 mins.

Hi Candice. I have a video called Making hay while the sun shines. But no we don’t feed them hay here. Only the big mule ewes when they go in the shed for lambing.
