    Thanks for watching/listening to my presets! They are now available together with a bunch more presets if you donate 15+ euro to my kofi: ko-fi.com/mrbattlehunter
    Also check out my other presets on my channel if you enjoyed these :)

    sounds good. I have been doing a lot tutorials for the original Modwave and the new LFO option in the v2 OS are going to be great for sound design.

      thanks! i actually used one of your tutorials for the base of the brass to help me find where things are then shaped it to my own design based on a preset i made a while back on the minifreak once i knew my way around the modwave.

      @@MrBattlehunter That's great. I found re-creating the sounds from other synths is a good way to lean the synth. Do you know if the factory presets on the mkii are different to the original ones?

      @@IanDixonTDL i don't think so from what i can tell by checking other peoples mk1 demo videos but never had one myself so hard to tell. if there are any extras/updates to the presets i don't think its a lot of them

      its not the easiest synthesizer to learn as it has so many options but the layout is quite clear, there's almost no menu diving and lots of options also means it allows you to do so many cool things:)

    Good morning,
    Your creations of the five patches, truly fabulous.
    The Voice Pads are a marvel.
    Do you sell your patches?
    If so, where can I buy them?
    Are the patches compatible with native vst?

    • @MrBattlehunter
      @MrBattlehunter  4 місяці тому

      Hello and thank you!
      I'm currently not selling any presets since I use some of them in my own music and I don't have enough interesting ones that I dont use yet
      However if you want to try and replicate them:
      the choir pad is very simple it just uses 4 of the Vox samples that come with the modwave, 2 higher ones on layer A then modwheel adds in volume of layer B which has the lower sounding Vox samples
      The slow beauty pad is essentially a brass sound but with a slow envelop attack and some effects, it uses two basic saw tooths with some phase shifting controlled by LFOS, a semi slow polysix low pass filter wih high envelop control, a little bit of chorus/delay and a lot of reverb and some light pitch/tune bending with LFOs too
      and for your last question as far as im aware any preset that works on modwave should also work on the vst and the other way around too
      hope this helps you!

      Hey, if you are still interested with the upload of my next video I will start selling a bundle through Ko-Fi with most of my presets including the choir and beauty pad (~40 presets total)
      it should be ready within 1-2 days

      @@PHOENIX-fb1cf as far as I am aware any modwave MK1/2 patch should be compatible with native and the other way around.

    • @MrBattlehunter

      I think pretty much any synthesizer that can play multiple samples should be able to make something similar.
      if you decide to go for the modwave and cant get your preset right mine are available through a donation on KoFi, if you decide to go for another synth lemme know and i can try to hook you up with the samples for free although i haven't tried downloading them before so not sure how that will go

    I can't get my mark II to be recognized by windows or mac. Sweetwater even did a session with me on a mac and could not find the problem. It appears you're using the editot/librarian. Any tips on how you achieved a connection between the unit and computer? My WS works fine on either platform (same computers). However, it is not a mark II. Any tips?

    • @MrBattlehunter
      @MrBattlehunter  8 місяців тому +1

      i'm actually only using the modewave, its just connected to the audio interface for audio output.
      I have hooked it up to my pc(win10) without any issues at other times however..
      some things i can think of that might help you:
      -Connect it directly to your pc not a usb hub
      -Try running the Korg System Updater to make sure you have lastest firmware/same version as software if connecting to editor/library is the issue
      -(windows) check the device manager if it shows up at all anywhere maybe the usb hub on your synth is broken? Not sure why its listed there but I looked for you and found mine under Network adapters listed as Korg modwave mkII
      -try another usb cable if its not listed under device manager/maybe some compatibility issue?

    hi can you confirm that this model (or wavestate MK2 in my case) is not an USB-AUDIO direct interface ?... impossible to play with Ableton Live 😢... Korg editor is ok but not ableton ...never see in mode audio interface 😢.. thanks

    • @MrBattlehunter
      @MrBattlehunter  7 місяців тому +2

      dont know about the wavestate but the modwave does not send audio over usb, you will need an actual audio interface or you can buy the VST plugin for 50 bucks (get your coupon code through to korg editor to get it down to 50) you can share presets through the device/editor/vst and it gives you a better overview.. at-least for the modwave since it allows you to see wavetables in 3D but the VST does not synchronise the rotator buttons with your device so be aware of that.
      another plus could be that if you have another midi device you could now play multiple wavestate presets by using the vst multiple times.
      considering usb audio can sometimes cause groundloop issues (like in some other synths i had) i dont consider it a bad thing that it doesn't support it personally but i can imagine its a let down if your just getting started, I am using a focusrite scarlett-2i2-3rd-gen myself to route the sound to my PC/DAW

      @@obwierimusicah ok, I wouldn't consider my modwave very mobile anyway since its rather large for a 37key synth, if your looking for something mobile take a look at the dreadbox typhon maybe its small, sounds very good and has usb audio, I ended up returning it because i wanted something more hands on however and make sure to use 2 power sources however because it has the ground loop issue i was talking about

      well like the title says its my first 5 presets, they are a good way to learn the features and tricks on a new synth in my opinion.
      I have made some more creative sounds since, but i am still a novice at wavetables/trying to understand how everything works and i found recreating sounds and learning out how to make them sound good, when to use what effect ect. is a nice way of learning how sound work in general
