I mean Mitsuru grandpa farmed shadows so he can make a time machine,imagine shadows as Nyx braincells normally they remain in their humans without doing that much but when he started gathering them they could call up Nyx physical body - the moon as they had some threshhold to be reached before they can reunite with the moon. The reason before it did not happen is that humanity actually wished for life during hard times and wished for death when times were easy,imagine back in the days during war people wished for life and hope instead of death and giving up on life
The explanation by the P3 Club Book really was that The Fall almost did happen multiple times, but it didn't simply reach that threshold with not enough people yearning for death until the 2000s. You also have to consider that nobody was trying to hasten its arrival too by artificially amassing Shadows into Death (as in Ryoji), until shortly before P3 happened
Is also a factor to think about, when the Apocalypse comes and the death of everything is nigh... for those who still wants to live to see another day, wouldn't they not want to stand up and fight? To find a way to push back that inevitable wall and grant life, even if they know the end will come again? The End is only truly permanent when Life has given up all hope. There will always be something going on behind the scenes. Always those who are negative in life (Greed, obsession; there will always be people who want more from life and will take it from others). There's no changing that. As long as free will exists, so to can be the choice. The Choice to fight against the injustice of the world and to live how you want to be. Is a trend all Jokers/Wildcards follow throughout the persona games.
It's stated that Nyx is has almost ended humanity multiple times but somehow gets stopped I'm guessing some ancient ass persona users defeated Nyx or Erebus thus buying humanity time
Nice of Atlus to bring this plot point back into the series for this remake. Now a whole new generation can cry "But what about Erebus?!" and never get a response. Atlus will keep saying every spin-off is canon, and this will give those people false hope that something worthwhile will actually come out of this Erebus plot point.
I did like this one a lot. It did almost border on tedium though. The story is what kept me going. As soon as I hit Level 65 I focused on going after The Reaper. The battle took FOREVER, but winning shot me straight to level 90. From there, if I didn't feel like exploring a floor, I didn't feel like I missed anything not exploring it.
certain percentage of the fanbase still doesn't learn anything from P3 story, all the characters have moved on and these minorities of fans still stuck in the past and cant let go of the MC lmao
That's actually how I got some cousins into Persona a decade ago with videos of the fights in Persona 3 and Persona 4. They immediately got hooked up when I left their city and some years later, they were totally hooked into Persona when 5 came out

I didn't feel that way for the base reload game, but I can really feel it in the episode aigis stuff. It feels like everything got... "sanitized" to the point where it doesn't have the same punch as The Answer did for FES, Yukari especially. Yeah Yukari had a bunch of haters for her actions in The Answer, but it really did feel like she was grieving in an unhealthy way that made sense for her character. She's way too mature in this new dialogue and it doesn't feel the same.

See the protagonists struggling to beat Erebus? Elizabeth OHK him. In a spin off game you learn that Erebus reforms every year (cus humanity wants death), so Elizabeth comes back here once a year to take care of the problem

Man, they butchered so many things. My favorite line in the entire game was “ there’s only one thing separating life from stillness. “ and they simplified it so much my body can’t even register it. Not just that, this is somehow so much weaker to the original and I feel like they had all the tools to make it just as, if not more memorable than the OG.

I mean Mitsuru grandpa farmed shadows so he can make a time machine,imagine shadows as Nyx braincells normally they remain in their humans without doing that much but when he started gathering them they could call up Nyx physical body - the moon as they had some threshhold to be reached before they can reunite with the moon. The reason before it did not happen is that humanity actually wished for life during hard times and wished for death when times were easy,imagine back in the days during war people wished for life and hope instead of death and giving up on life
The explanation by the P3 Club Book really was that The Fall almost did happen multiple times, but it didn't simply reach that threshold with not enough people yearning for death until the 2000s.
You also have to consider that nobody was trying to hasten its arrival too by artificially amassing Shadows into Death (as in Ryoji), until shortly before P3 happened

Nice of Atlus to bring this plot point back into the series for this remake. Now a whole new generation can cry "But what about Erebus?!" and never get a response. I did like this one a lot. It did almost border on tedium though. The story is what kept me going. As soon as I hit Level 65 I focused on going after The Reaper. The battle took FOREVER, but winning shot me straight to level 90. From there, if I didn't feel like exploring a floor, I didn't feel like I missed anything not exploring it.

I didn't feel that way for the base reload game, but I can really feel it in the episode aigis stuff. It feels like everything got... "sanitized" to the point where it doesn't have the same punch as The Answer did for FES, Yukari especially. Yeah Yukari had a bunch of haters for her actions in The Answer, but it really did feel like she was grieving in an unhealthy way that made sense for her character. She's way too mature in this new dialogue and it doesn't feel the same.
