In this episode of Red Moose Hunting "Driven Hunt" series, we come along on driven hunts with Tobias Åberg and Manfred Isberg. The driven hunt is in Skåne and Bleking in the far south end of Sweden. Shooting at running wild boar at a driven hunt can be tricky and even if the hunter prefer perfect shots all the time, it is a reality that sometimes it does not work out as planned.
In this episode Tobias encounter both wild boar and roe deer and in one situation some follow-up shots is needed.

If you can‘t own up to a bad shot you made, then you shouldn‘t call yourself a Hunter.
Mistakes happen but its the aftermath that shows what kind of person you are. You did everything to make up for the first shot and you made sure to end the boars suffering as fast as possible. And even when you were relieved that the boar was finally down, I can still see that its heavy on your Heart. And that is how it should be! Because the pain and guilt we feel is what makes us strive to get better. Reflect the situation, judge better, train more.
If people aren‘t bothered by their bad shots anymore, then they should never raise a rifle to a living creature again.

If you shoot or hunt, then at some point, it will go wrong. Well done for sharing.
I agree, glad you feel the same. Always looking for “one-shot-one-kills”, but unfortunately the reality is not that in all cases.

Detta är en Savage 110 Carbon Predator i kaliber .308Win. Inte optimala drevjaktsvapnet, men ville testa nått nytt. Föredrar nog rakrepeter för drevjakt. Dock är precisionen brutal. Kolfiber lindad pipa från PROOF Researchsamt aluminiumbäddad stock. Som vakjaktsvapen är bössan superfin.

The first: I like your way of hunting verry verry much. Take on and stay on your way. The second: I´m very glad you finally got this wounded wild boar. With my Bavarian Montain Cent Dog I make a lot of trackingwork for wounded game. Hit´s in the jaw, lower legs or hit´s in the upper line of neck and back are among the most difficult trackworks and unfortunatley such difficult trackworks often end without succhess. The reality is, we are "only" humans. And humans make mistakes. It´s a easy way, only to show perfect situations. But that is not the true. Light and shadow are always close together. My respect and recognition to show us, that hunting have "dark sides" too. In Germany we say: "Nur wer nichts macht, macht nie etwas verkehrt" Only if you do nothing, you do nothing wrong. Greetings from Martina, living in western Middle of Franconia, sothern germany. I hope my english is not so terrible, i try to write this text without Google translationmachine 😅

I am also very glad that we got the boar as soon as we did. A search for this boar after the first shot, would been a very hard search.
