Thank you for this recipe. This is my first time making Sarma. My in laws were blown away. My very picky father in law loved it and thought my mom must have helped me with it. What a compliment :D
Hi Mary! I am so happy that you impressed your in laws with this recipe. Thanks for sharing the compliments with me. If you don’t mind me asking what nationality are you? Are you familiar with the spices I use? 😘💐❤️🙏
Hello, I am Armenian but I am just venturing into cooking Armenian food on my own after being married for 5 years. My in laws are Jordanian so they are used to eating Sarma ;)
Hi! I am sorry for your Mom and Grandma. May they Rest In Peace 🙏. I am glad you found your families recipe in my channel. Thanks for subscribing to my channel. ❤️👩🍳💐

@@margaretlalikskitchen3552 Here in Egypt we call it “Mahshi” , this naming also used for any kind of vegetables stuffed with “khalta” which is consisted mainly of rice, tomato sauce, diced onions, dill, coriander, parsley, salt and black pepper , cumin powder.
Hi Chris! Thanks for asking. Here is the link to Dolma. I have this video for the meat version. Let me know if you need more info. Enjoy!!! ua-cam.com/video/LIvU34sTZmc/v-deo.html&feature=share
During the Ottoman period, Armenians were not forbidden from speaking their own language, please provide correct information! and sarma is a Turkish dish, not Armenian!
My grandma couldn’t speak Armenian, they were scared to speak their own language. It was prohibited. I am sorry if you feel offended, but it is the truth and truth hurts. Every nationality has their own version of dolma. Mine is Armenian traditional dolma and it is full of Armenian flavors. I haven’t tasted Turkish dolma. I am sure it is delicious, but it is your traditional taste. Ours is ours. Try it and you’ll love it. Be open minded. Life is too short. Enjoy it.
