The "line of scrimmage" is an imaginary line spanning the width of the field (sideline to sideline) where the ball is placed. If either team crosses this line before the ball is snapped, it is Off Sides.
9:44 mind-blowing that play by tee higgins. Wowwwww. To not only come back to high point the football for the catch but then to have the where withall to be able to know to imstinctially swing your arm around to score....what a play man. Been watching for 35 years and havent seen many better than that.
Im so glad you both decided to take control of your crazy lives...., to make a change and make it more positive for you and your relationship. I really enjoy your reactions because you seem so real and genuine..not to mention you both are pretty funny. Thank you for all the wonderful content you give us. I wish you both the very best with this channel ..I feel like you guys will go far 😊
The great thing about the thanksgiving/holiday season is it's also NFL Playoffs time. If you keep up on the current standings you're sure to find good game options at several stadiums while you're in Boston
If there was controversy on that play where there was a discussion after the TD, I would imagine it's about whether the player was an eligible receiver. That was an O lineman, so he has to report as eligible before the play. Not everyone is allowed to receive the ball from the QB.
Soccer is a British term, short for Association football. It comes from Oxford in England from about 1875. The game was introduced to North America, Australia, South Africa, Ireland etc as soccer and the name stuck. It was interchangeable with football in the UK as late as the 1980's. You created it.
We love our NFL...the best part is..there is NO WAY to tell who is gonna be good or what games will be the best every year, that's part of the excitement.
The NFL is the most competitive league in the world because of how the salary cap works. Most other sports don't have a cap and the wealthy get wealthier as they get to pay to have the best players. Whereas in the NFL you need to strategically build your roster with the same amount of money everyone else has. Obviously there are still some reasons players will be paid less to play for a certain team over another but it's so far from what you see in other sports leagues. Damn, do I love the NFL! (Not saying you can't make a great team in other leagues as a small market team but it's A LOT harder to do and requires multiple years of incredible drafts at least.)
There's a video that explains the rules. In the NFL the receiver has to get 2 feet inbound, college just needs 1 foot. Shots to the head area are penalty
The NFL will play three games in London in 2024 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wembley Stadium: Sunday, October 6: New York Jets vs. Minnesota Vikings at 2:30 PM BST Sunday, October 13: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Chicago Bears at 2:30 PM BST Sunday, October 20: New England Patriots vs. Jacksonville Jaguars at 2:30 PM BST
The NFL was the first Major Sports league in the world to adopt instant replay(or VAR if you are used to soccer parlance), they first did so in the 1980s, but it had to cook another 10 years before it stayed in the NFL in the 90s.
The next Super Bowl is February 9, 2025. Getting tickets for that game can be extremely difficult but you can watch the game with die-hard fans just about anywhere.
Fun fact about the Miami interception for 99 yards and a touchdown is that there was 0 seconds left on the clock. Had he not scored and been stopped the game would have went to half time and the int would have been for nothing. Yeah I’m a dolphins fan 🙃
@yassandfats Unless you're planning to attend the Super Bowl, you can scratch attending an NFL game in February. The only NFL tackle football game being played is Super Bowl LIX, scheduled to be played on February 9, 2025, at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The last NFL football or college football game is the Super Bowl on Feb. 9, 2025. Best time to catch a game at any level is Sept. through December. Then playoffs start and tickets become a whole lot more expensive. My football recommendation would be... Come to Columbus Ohio on a Saturday at about 6 a.m. and get your eat and drink on while tailgating until the game at noon. Watch the game that includes the Ohio State marching band at halftime. Then the next day you can drive a little bit south or a little bit north and catch an NFL game in Cincinnati or Cleveland. Tailgating is also a crucial part of those games.
One hand catches comes from talent and a lot of practice I don’t have big hands but I had practiced enough to do it pretty regularly and can still do it even in my old age lol
When I visited some friends in the UK and they were watching a soccer game. One of them turned to me and asked if I knew one of the players who I'm guessing was very famous in the soccer world and they were shocked to know that I'd never heard of them. So I asked if they had ever heard of any of our famous NFL players they also had never heard of any of them either. I told them that these athletes are best known to people who watch their particular sport.
I played wide receiver a lot growing up over the years. I got pretty good at stabbing one handers out of the sky. You want the ball to spin into your thumb. The opposite spin is possible but a lot harder.
Off-Sides: when a player from the defense is on the offensive side of the field when the ball is snapped. The penalty is five yards. What you saw was the coach talking to an assistant, not a official. However coaches often talk to officials through the game, mostly to complain or explain or to receiving explanation of a called infraction that was made.
About three minutes in I realized this was not a "Norwegian Flying Lounge Unforgettable Moments" compilation. I was really looking forward to those shenanigans.
I know it’s about the start of football season, but you should check out best March Madness moments. March Madness is a college basketball tournament held in March with the National Championship held the first weekend of April
17:33 the only game in February is the super bowl. Which is the largest sports event in the country for any sport. Not just nfl. So any ticket bought now would cost you $7k-13k depending on if you want to sit in the nose bleeds or right in the action. Imo its better to go to a sports bar. Specificly one deciated to one of the teams who will be playing. There are a couple in every city in the nation so no matter where you visit you can have a Superbowl experience cheering along with the fans. If your going to New Orleans Louisiana during Superbowl week by any chance there are alot of events the week prior, i dont recommend going anywhere cold in February. Anything above the mason dixon line is freezing at that point. Depending on your standard of cold.
If you ever come to the states and want a crazy experience, college football Michigan vs Ohio State would be the one to see. Just being in the parking lot(car park) would be like nothing you've ever seen.
The lions win at the end there was amazing. Gave us all chills when it happened. I'm from Michigan tho only 45 min from Detroit in suburbs of Flint. Best moment on here.
If you are planning to attend an NFL game, you need to try to get tickets well in advance of any game because they are hard to obtain! Season is from September to February, so you may have to alter your schedule.
For new NFL fans living outside of the USA: 1. Learn the rules by watching UA-cam videos. 2. Watch a variety of full games or condensed games online. 3. Loyalty to a team will happen organically over time when: • you fancy a specific player's talent and personal story • fancy a teams kit/uniforms • fancy a teams history and reputation • fancy a teams fan base and their reputation • fancy a city
Offside in American Football is having any part of your body even with or on the other side of the ball at the snap. (start of a play) The snapper (usually the Center) is allowed to be even with the ball at the snap, everyone else must be on their side of the ball. If you're playing Canadian Football, and on defense, you have to be a yard away from the ball or you're offside. 5 yard penalty in both American and Canadian football. Also the offense must have 7 men on the line of scrimmage, with an eligible receiver on each end. If they don't then it's an illegal formation. Players wearing numbers 0-49, or 80-89 on the offense are eligible to catch passes. Any other number must report as eligible before a play. Eligiblity does not apply to the defense.
Their are tutorial videos on youtube of the rules of American football . It would be a good idea for you to watch some of them if you want to understand what is happening . Also each time a penalty is called a yellow flag is thrown by the official calling the penalty and the head referee goes on his mike and explains what the infraction was . The opposing team then has the choice of either accepting the penalty or letting the play stand as is , depending upon which result is more favorable to them .If one of the coaches disagrees with the referee's call , he throws a red flag which he has and the play will be reviewed on video .
Most teams have a pretty good following in their state or area of the country so the best way to do it is just pick a team you like, the city you wanna visit or you think it’s cool or something along those lines because no matter what team you pick somebody out here is gonna disagree completely with you, smiles. One thing that’s pretty cool about the NFL now that they have salary caps and there’s limits to what teams can spend on money and keeps it more competitive is that there is potential for good teams to pop up from anywhere in the league. There are some teams that are just bad, but I would suggest maybe looking at all of the teams that were in the playoffs last year and going with one you like and maybe they’ll make it to the playoffs next year or maybe they’ll get their asses kicked everywhere they go.
You say Feburary only game maybe Super Bowl, but in the middle of hockry season, love you sports reactions. Maybe Daytona 500 if your lucky and depends on where your schedule take you.
The only game in February is the Super Bowl. The Season is played from September to January, then the playoffs go through January to the Super Bowl in February. If you are going to a big city, and you wanted to see a game then you'd definitely wanna try to plan that some months in advance because the major cities will sellout games quick.
Please react to " Robin Williams as the American flag" 🎉 It's 5 and 1/2 minutes long. It's funny but also very respectful and may put a tear in some people's eyes.
There is nothing but the Super Bowl going on in February. You want to be down here in the fall. Go to an SEC college football game. My recommendation is my team. Georgia Bulldogs.
As someone who played football growing up, "certain" one handed grabs as a wide receiver really aren't that hard. We practiced them all the time when messing around in the same way soccer players do skill drills. And we never played with sticky gloves like NFL players have or had 10" + hands haha
Look into NFL players like the strongest player ever Larry Allen (who was stabbed several times as a child), Lyle Alzdo (Darth Raider he paralyzed another player), Bill Romanoski (NFL dirtiest player. He throw a microwave at a fellow player, broke an opposing players finger among others), Lawrence Taylor (Broke another players leg in a tackle). Another sport NHL injuries, or PBR wrecks (Professional Bull Riding).
Support the Detroit Lions. Think of it like this. You missed 50 years of bad Lions teams and you are supporting them at the right time. Some people have the Lions winning the Super Bowl.
You might as well catch some hockey and basketball games if you’re traveling in February… unless you’re wild enough to go to the Super Bowl.. probs not, huh.
The pass caught on the sideline that you were saying offsides and it’s good that they check the tech now… that’s not called offsides it’s out of bounds. Offsides is a whole different different call.. fyi 😌
