i have not gotten back into drawing as much but I have been inking other artwork alot. Finding interesting black and white and pencil drawing to ink has gotten my fervor back into the craft and watching Jim's videos has helped inspire me do so and has helped me get better at what was my weakest part of sketching
I like the scale examples in this tutorial. This is something I can put into my own drawings. Thank you for sharing.

At the 19:00 mark she looked almost like Polaris, but once he started adding the scales to her suit then I saw Mera emerge. Amazing!

Haha, "Not counting the feet." I've never heard Jim get to a point and say "I feel pretty good," as if he's getting past a hurdle... This man doesn't have hurdles. Only feet... like any Olympian Hurdle... r... would tell you.

I think I'm a bit weird - I always prefer the light pencil under-sketch to the finished work. I like to see the multiple lines, unfinished elements etc. - under the hood stuff.

Sucked???, really? I think its more epic than Black panthers ,But i didnt mean black panthers sucked but fight scene in BP its can be more.

I can say I liked Aquaman, never seen underwater fight scenes, thought they were cool, the fact that black panther’s plot was similar was more than likely coincidence because they honestly just followed the comics, that’s how Aquaman origin was, at least the one I read. Plus everyone is entitled to their own opinion

For the plot resembling Black Panther, their both KINGS of a hidden kingdom. I'm sorry but where did you want Aquaman to go? Aquaman usually has this recurring plot element. Black panther, touched it on occasion in the comics but it was just more convenient for BP to focus on it as an introduction to BP for non Black Panther fans. Either way these are pre-established characters.
And if we want to compare to Black panther, At least in Aquaman you actually get to see the origin of atlantis in spectacular fashion.
The Wakanda origin was told by using vibranium nanite like technology and was told so fast you couldn't really absorb it all. It felt like the movie didnt want you to care about it. Which for me personally didnt feel like Wakanda had amazing technology, as for atlantis I believed they advanced far more than what humans are currently capable of.
As for the fight scenes, I wasnt expecting amazing skills but I've heard people who are familiar with martial arts thought it was accurate to how spear fighting would be. I wasnt looking for major battles. If we want to compare to Black Panther, BP had great one on one battles but those armies fighting just didnt do it for me. and the final battle doesnt live up in my opinion. Aquaman had more realistic fights and the fights were mostly ceremonial too, but also the army battles was far greater. Keep in mind the battle was between different kingdoms while wakanda was a battle between factions within wakanda.
Overall, the movie was entertaining. The visuals were amazing. Atlantis looked beautiful and colorful and it gets you invested and wanting to see more of it. And I personally was invested in the future of atlantis.
There were issues with pacing and some execution but it showed they were really trying to make people entertained. I think you're too harsh on the movie. Venom was way worst. Original hulk movie was worst. Iron man 2 and 3 were worst.
